Premier League agent fees to be published after FA strikes deal• All fees from this summer to be revealed • FA conceded dual representation as part of dealThe Football Association will force Premier League clubs to publish all fees paid to agents for player transfers, according to reports. The payment of agents has long been a murky issue, and Premier League clubs have consistently shown reluctance to reveal the sums which change hands. But when the FA's new regulations come into force, these dealings will be public knowledge for the first time. The Premier League has agreed to be transparent in its dealings with agents if the rules are changed to allow brokers to represent more than one party in a deal. The rules currently prohibit agents from acting both for a player and one of the clubs involved, but these will be relaxed in future as long as the player concerned gives his consent. The rules will come into force immediately, and will allow both fans and competitors to see the inner workings of many transfer deals, including those being carried out this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph. Similar rules are already practised by the Football League. The deal is a result of long negotiations between the Premier League and the FA, which was opposed to dual representation, but has backed down in order to bring about a more transparent transfer market. www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jul/15/premier-league-agent-fees-transfers-fa
