Cardiff Official Site (with their sparkly new stadium) Cardiff OFFICIAL STATEMENT Mon 06 Jul 2009 The opening weekend events at the Cardiff City Stadium was a great success, giving the opportunity for our supporters old and new to take in the new surroundings as the club begin a proud new era. The intention of ramp up events is to test new systems and procedures, whilst listening intently to supporter feedback. A common point raised was the pricing structure within the food and beverage outlets. The feedback from our supporters was extremely positive, ranging from the quality of the seating and catering to the successful launch of our state of the art ticketing and turnstile operation. Following this feedback we as a football club have worked very closely with our catering partner Compass Group and have reviewed the opening pricing structure. It has been agreed that we will reduce the price of some of the key lines, while keeping the superior quality products and services that are now on offer. There will be an introduction of reduced meal deals and price reductions for example, all draught beers will be at the same price as Ninian Park last season at £3 a pint on theconcourse. We are sure that supporters will enjoy the new and improved products and services which represent overall value for money. We would like to thank all Cardiff City supporters for offering constructive feedback and we welcome this going forward, working together to achieve our goals. www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10335~1714891,00.html

I have a feeling both of envy and at the same time anger at how QPR are being left behind. No matter how the present regime dress up Loftus Road (and they can create as many C Clubs as they like) the old stadium continues to have an aura of decay and yesteryear about it.
All the very best to Cardiff in thier new surroundings, looks great.

LR may be a dump but it's our dump and I prefer it to any of those souless identikit stadia.
A couple of bad seasons and Cardiff will be rattling round their new ground like Southampton with debts up to their armpits wishing they'd never moved.
