It's 40 Years since the great 1969/1970 season

We didn't win anything; and we slumped at the end; but it was a good, enjoyable season, after the humiliation of 1968/1969. Cup runs League and FA Cup. Big wins over Wolves and Derby. The loss to Chelsea at Loftus Road

Lots of goals. Barry Bridges The Main goalscorer...Terry Venables providing class. Rodney Marsh back to his best

The sale of Alan Glover...The return (briefly) of Clive Clark...Record signing Terry Venables....Vic Mobley and Mike Ferguson join...Frank Clarke sold...Debut of Martyn Busby...Ron Springett in the reserves before retiring
