Banbury Guardian had it first ;-) - Feel I should stick up for my local paper! Brackley Town: Brady adds two more to his squad JON Brady has added two more players to his Brackley Town squad – defender Mark Duckett from Corby Town and midfielder Jamie Gould from Bedford Town. Duckett was given the chance to stay at Corby but opted to join Saints while former Northampton Town midfielder Gould is well known to Town head coach Ray Warburton from his days at Boston United. And Town were given another boost this week when Tom Winters, Elliot Sandy and Danny Spencer all signed on for next season. There had been rumours that Winters was heading for Oxford City but Brady scoffed at the idea. "Tom Winters knows this is the best place for him, it's the best place anyone can play at this level of football," said player-manager Brady. "We've got the best backer and club officials, as well as a lovely pitch and ground which the club has plans to improve further. "We can give Tom the best coaching here and I have the contacts in the game for him to play at a higher level in the future, if it's not with us. "It's great to have all three players sign back on, they're good young players. Along with Ben Mackey I'm sure there are a lot more goals to come from all of them. "The pieces of the jigsaw are coming together nicely, I've got another couple of players ready to sign but I'm not going to rush it with the others, there are players from a higher level wanting to join us." But Brady is waiting on keeper Richard Knight to give him the all-clear as to whether he feels he will be fully fit for another season. www.banburyguardian.co.uk/sport/Brackley-Town-Brady-adds-two.5359295.jp
