Might think he'd have learned discretion is the better part...Grimsby Official Site - Newell Angered By AgentsTOWN boss Mike Newell has reacted to reports that Ryan Bennett would like the chance to speak to Peterborough United about a possible move to London Road. "Ryan would welcome the opportunity to talk to Peterborough in the event that the two clubs are able to agree something," Bennett's agent had told Sky Sports News. In response Newell told the official website: "Ryan's agent is like most agents. If the FA and the Football League did their jobs properly then the game wouldn't be in the mess it is in right now, and it is in a mess."Town chairman John Fenty recently confirmed that the Mariners had rejected a bid form Peterborough for the club captain. "There's been a lot of passing interest in Ryan and he's obviously got a bright future in front of him," the chairman said. "He's a key player and we simply will not be accepting Peterborough's derisory offer." Ryan currently has two years to run on his contract with the Mariners. www.grimsby-townfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10417~1690439,00.html
