The Blue Square Premier side will launch an investigation into whether there has been a breach of contract. Assistant manager Alan Lewer will take charge of team affairs, starting with Saturday's home match against Wrexham. Hollins, who has been in charge at the Dorset club since January, confirmed to BBC Radio Solent that he has been placed on "gardening leave". Maybe he applied for a job in Shepherds Bush working with an inexperienced young manager?

Updated (if cryptic)
Surrey Herald - Hollins rumour is rubbished Nov 19 2008
Woking chairman David Taylor moved swiftly this week to quash rumours linking the club with a move for Weymouth boss John Hollins.
The Terras manager was put on 'gardening leave' last week amid allegations of a breach of contract by the former Chelsea player.
This sparked rumours an approach had been made by Taylor to Hollins to replace Phil Gilchrist in the Kingfield hot-seat. The speculation was fuelled by both clubs fans' forums. However, speaking ahead of last night's clash between the two sides at the Wessex Stadium, Taylor dismissed the rumours as a total fabrication and gave a ringing endorsement of his current manager. "Rumours I've made an approach for John Hollins are absolute categorical and total nonsense, said the Kingfield supremo.
"Phil Gilchrist is our manager end of story. He is bringing us closer to the type of football we want to see played at Woking, and it is my hope he will be here till the end of this season and beyond."
Gilchrist first took temporary charge of the Cards in early September, following the ill-fated short reign of Kim Grant.
Defeats at York and Ebbsfleet were sandwiched between a home win over Grays, before Taylor installed the former Oxford centre-back as permanent boss prior to the home game with Salisbury City on September 23. Three successive wins followed, but Woking are now without a victory in five league games and remain the lowest scorers in the Blue Square Premier with only 13 goals all season, prior to the Terras clash.

Hollins has a history of bribery and corruption in football I distinctly remember him trying to give me some cash to say I supported Chelsea when I was a kid. True story, at Harlington, I was a nipper and my Uncle was captaining the chelsea reserves against the RS. And he was winding my dad up (they know each other from years ago) that he could bribe me to say I loved Chelsea...and was waving a note in front of me. Hasten to add I refused, of course.

Yeah right!
Take the money and lie, that's what I say.
Woking could do a lot worse than Hollins.
Oh, they have !!!

Older posters may remember when Hollins was one of the hottest young coaches/prospective managers around - and when he was at Chelsea under Neal, we tried to get Hollins as a replacement for Venables, I think it was.
