Well, that came as a shock..... I notice as well that the S word has now been removed from the Loftus Road vocabulary, he wasn't sacked at Ipswich, he was "relieved of his duties...."

I think we should run a sweep on this...
My bet is on Cook or Legs....

And you could probably go back and find some beautiful quote about how great Sousa, Dowie, Ainsworth, De Canio etc were.
If they'd just give Ainsworth a job (announce it). They could have him raving about how wonderful things were under Magilton and how he was learning so much.

Actually they have to transcribe the Rowlands comments - That will be another post. In the interim, they can fill the site with this kind of news/development www.qpr.co.uk/page/SuperhoopsBetty/0,,10373~1686862,00.html

Forward that to the club Ingham, they can stick a different name on it each day.
Don't forget, there are people that complain if there is not a new story on the official site each day.

On the other hand, if they really want to make news, they can stories such as "QPR Star Denounces Magilton Appointment" and QPR Manager Deigrates Paladini" and "QPR International Says Bring Back Bill Power"

What did you expect him to say Mr Report it's pretty much the same spin that comes out of many clubs.
Now I have calmed down about the appointment of Jim I hope he does well.

Well we all HOPE he does well!
And given my relatively-low level of expectations (although obviously not my hopes), I wouldn't axe Magilton if we were not in the top six at Christmas. And it won't be fans calling for his ouster. The real problem, as always, will be Briatore. What does he expect/demand of Magilton.
Additionally - Does this reflect the "real" QPR now: Spending little, second tier appointments, etc?
- Has Briatore learned his lesson? And will he back off/leaving the manager to do his best?

Lets hope so many fans feel let down by the appointment but lets hope he does well.
As for Flavio who knows I hope he keeps out of the footballing side and has learnt from last years failures.
As for our transfer policy this summer wait and see but I'd be amazed if the club went out and spent a fortune it's just not these guys way.
However you only have to look at our wage bill to see that they have invested a fair chunk of cash into the club so the assumption many fans make regarding "we have spent nothing" is not exactly true.

I fully agree re the level of Briatore spending. And I've noted that repeatedly. My "critique" is precisely that. That we've spent so much on transfer fees, wages (and paid off coaches). It could and should have been better spent.

Again another interesting Report how much was Dowie paid, Sousa and LDC?
LDC left by mutual consent not heard anything regarding Sousa but I'd imagine Dowie got a payout?

Dowie had a two year contract...There was a board rumour re paying off Crystal Palace debt, but no idea if anything to that...

Scott, is it any good?? How much?? It's ok in fairness, think it was £16 a year? The only thing is that its not much different from the match day prog apart from a few more in depth interviews. Having worked in print publishing its a stupid idea as we'll never get the reach to make it profitable. I remember chatting to the dude who runs the little kiosk at northfileds tube station who was convinced to stock it and he's never sold a copy. Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool do mags like this but they have a gazillion fans around the world - we dont. I fully expect it to be shelved as a project
