(Sorry responded on your post!) QPR Official Site- "KEEP YOUR SEAT - DEADLINE EXTENDED!Posted on: Sun 17 May 2009 With a backlog of Season Ticket applications to process, the Club have opted to extend the Early Bird Season Ticket deadline. With the feel-good factor ahead of the new campaign continuing to build, R's supporters will now have until midnight on Friday 22nd May to renew their Season Ticket at the Early Bird five per-cent discount rate. As of Saturday 23rd May, subsequent prices will be available at a 2.5 per-cent reduction on the 2008/09 Season Ticket prices, which reflects the VAT reduction this year. So don't delay, renew your Season Ticket today!" We obviously have a kind, benevolent club A basic rule they might try: ALWAYS Tell the Truth. Sure sometimes it may be emabarassing. But it's good.

BS is what they ARE good at! Reminder of the club's statement last year QPR OFFICIAL SITE, May 15 2008 - RECORD SALES Season Tickets for the forthcoming 2008/09 campaign went on sale this morning - and already the Queens Park Rangers Box Office is reporting unprecedented demand as Rangers fans embrace the new era in W12. With Iain Dowie installed at the helm and no fewer than three new faces already added to the R's First Team squad ahead of next season, the feel-good factor has gripped the R's faithful, to the delight of Deputy Managing Director, Ali Russell. "We're ecstatic with the response," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "We are very mindful that prices have gone up in certain areas of the ground, but the reaction from the supporters has been exceptional. "We strongly believe that the new pricing structure represents excellent value for money and is in line with most Clubs at this level."

The thing is..most fans, if not all WANT to renew..the powers that be just arent giving us any reasons to renew and lots of reasons not to renew.

The thing is..most fans, if not all WANT to renew..the powers that be just arent giving us any reasons to renew and lots of reasons not to renew. Spot on. Although I've not had a season ticket for two seasons now I have membership for me and my three sons. Nearly renewed last season but apathy got the better of me in the end. I cannot find a single reason for me to spend £2,400 on season tickets. NO CHANCE!

QPR1st Statement re Extension QPR1st Further extension to early bird announced Written by Peter Gridneff Sunday, 17 May 2009 19:50 The club posted the following anouncement on the official site today: "With a backlog of Season Ticket applications to process, the Club have opted to extend the Early Bird Season Ticket deadline. With the feel-good factor ahead of the new campaign continuing to build, R's supporters will now have until midnight on Friday 22nd May to renew their Season Ticket at the Early Bird five per-cent discount rate. As of Saturday 23rd May, subsequent prices will be available at a 2.5 per-cent reduction on the 2008/09 Season Ticket prices, which reflects the VAT reduction this year" Whilst the Trust welcomes any extension to the early bird cut off date we are confused as to how this decision is related to a "backlog of applications". Our understanding is that the number of renewals so far this season is significantly down on last season, on that basis alone it makes sense to extend the deadline to encourage more renewals. With a much lower than anticipated take up we are however suprised that a "backlog of applications" has built up and we will be asking the club to help us to understand why such a backlog is related to the decision to extend the renewal deadline. www.qpr1st.com/

The thing is..most fans, if not all WANT to renew..the powers that be just arent giving us any reasons to renew and lots of reasons not to renew. Quote of the day for my opinion. Being honest is currently something foreign at QPR. I bet they've sold something like 2,500 season tickets and they're trying to bump it up. How embarrassing, oh dear. Perhaps if season tickets for the championship footie you are getting should really be 300 pounds max for the very best seats and surely no more than 250 for other areas and 150 for seats in the corners. It's also about time the club got rid of those annoying poles supporting the roof and replaced them with something a bit more modern. Perhaps they could move that decrepid camera gantry over into the directors box which always appears empty on QPR World.

God, I go away for the weekend and come back to find that the club I love is even more of a joke than when I left. Earlybird extended due to a backlog in processing applications, don't make me laugh. When the current board took over we were told that they don't do failure, well, now we can see that they are fast learners.... I have renewed. Not because of the wonderful earlybird offer (still trying to work out what to spend my £17 on...) but because I have supported the R's for 40 years and have had a season ticket for the past 20. But have to admit that this has been the first season I have actually had to think about renewing. As has been said, where are the incentives for renewing early? Other clubs offer big reductions, free first team shirts or interest free loans. It is just a shame that when Ali was looking at Hearts for all of his best ideas he didn't notice the 25% season ticket reduction that the new post-Russell administration is offering. What do we have? New caterers with possibly better hotdogs, does anyone think that prices are not going to increase? Here is a clue from the Herta hotdogs website : "Market research shows that customers are willing to pay more for the Herta brand..." (I bet the board loved reading that. A global ambassador for the Far East. Erm is that really helping? Perhaps we should concentrate on our local area first, try and get some bums on seats and at the very least try and keep the fanbase that we have at the moment. but, no, our oh so successful owners procede to alienate some of the fans by changing the badge and introducing the wonderful C-club and W12. I think what we are seeing now is that football and F1 are very different worlds. At Renault, does Flav have to worry about alienating his fanbase? Of course not because apart from Ferrari F1 teams do not have a fanbase, all they have to worry about is the sponsors. Finally, the one thing that might have made more renew was a new manager (and not some of the names that are being touted around now). But they can't even get that right. I fear that the club have made a huge rod for their own backs when it comes to getting a top name. We have had 7 people in charge in less than 2 seasons, it doesn't matter if they were sacked, terminated or what ever, people will look at that and start to have second thoughts. And don't even get me started on the treatment of Sousa. Allegedy sacked for honestly answering a question in a post match press conference. Flav needs to realise that this is football not the ultra secret world of F1. We are talking players here not diffusers, you can't put a curtain around the team and hope that no one will notice changes. Then to add insult to injury they try to further smear the managers reputation by bringing in an agent to give a statement on what actually happened (a statement that was full of inaccuracies and refuted by Dex's interview on the Forest Offy!) I ask you if you were a manager would you not think twice? I look forward to the club shop offering the "official QPR bargepole" as used by our latest manager some time soon. Sorry for rambling on......
