Nice (I guess he thought he was still going to be QPR manager!) Not sure though linking to articles which mention/focus on HORSES, at this particular moment in time....

I had a couple of scrapbooks and a whole load of Charles Buchan's Football Monthly. Not to do with football but I also had about 30 cigarette card albums (all complete and worth a lot of money now), my favourite cricket bat and pads, my football, football boots and shinguards. Then I went into the RAF and all was fine until I was sent to Germany for two and a half years. Always one for tidying up and throwing out, my mother got rid of all the aforementioned, including giving the cigarette cards to my cousin who was about six and he tore them all out and scribbled on them. Mum said "Well, your an adult now. You don't need any of those 'toys'!"

I kept one for the 76/77 season. Newspaper report of our matches and articles from Shoot (where Gerry Francis had a weekly column). It disappeared when I went to university along with all sort of other stuff. The perpetrator of this crime was never found, although I do have my suspicions....

Yes I did several QPR scrapbooks during the 70's and I have done a few in recent years mainly from local and National press and still have them all. PS I did begin a scrapbook at the start of the 66/67 season but for some reason stopped after 2 or three games The biggest mistake though was losing my autograph books from the late 1950's.

First one I started was 68/69 season, mostly with pictures and articles from the Kilburn Times. My resolve faltered after a while though and didnt bother posting the second match against Man U at Old Trafford.
Think I left them in parents attic when I moved out along with every single copy from 1st to last of a boys magazine/comic called The Ranger (nothing to do with QPR) from the late 60's.

I had dozens of Shoot magazines and others, but before my move from Sydney to Perth I tossed them out. I still have however about 4 complete seasons of the home match programnes from the 80/90s.
I have a few Football League Reviews, cost one shilling, but for some reason, they do not have a date. I feel there probable the late 70s.
One, I,m looking at, says, " The minimum weekly basic wage to be raised to 15pound per week and a guaranteed minimum salary of 1080pound per annum for full time professionals. If a player is transferred before the end of his agreement he shall be guaranteed minimum earnings of 90pound per month for each month of service.'
Those days I imagine the players earnt their wage, not like today.

In 1980, I have every Shoot magazine produced except for three issues. Sadly, I lost most of them.

I had a scrapbook from near the end of the 1967/68 season to early 1970s. Again sadly "lost"
I don't think I included items from the magazines though (Football Monthly, Goal, Shoot, Inside Football, Foul)

Yip I had one - cut out article from the likes of Football Monthly, Match & Shoot and also included clippings from various newspapers and anything that my grandfather sent me.
I also used to keep an album of the various seasons, a book for each one from 1978/79 until the mid 80's when I did military service. Mind you, I still kept it goingh, albeit on a smaller scale, until the early 90's -and also had a book for the 82 & 86 WC.
But then you move home, get married and all that good stuff and they got discarded - and eventually thrown away. A real pity because I think it had a treasure hove of info & memories.
