(If any)
I'm going for Roberto Di Matteo - at a club where gratitude plays little role.

“We haven’t made the investment of this summer to simply compete at the same level as last season. The investment has been made so that we feel we are a club which can compete against – and beat – every club we play.”

Yeah I think this too - think he's a great guy and was a brilliant player but just can't see it working out.

If I was a betting man (which I am) Laudrup or Clark. But if Guardiola suddenly becomes available then Mac will be right.

Lets hope it's not Sparky!!. Sam, Clark and Rodgers are all in my frame, and Di Matteo is a top favourite too but my money goes on Chris Huyton not because I think he is a bad manager but because I think he has chosen the wrong team to manage.

I really rate Adkins and I think he could lead Southampton to a very respectable level.
Laudrupp is among my favourites to be sacked, but West Sam is a such bizarre club that they get my vote.

Spurs, Liverpool, Norwich, Villa,(Add others) etc will surely lose patience soon with who they have in charge.
So who will be the first to go?'
And is 'Arry' waiting in line to take over?
(note our Chairman and supporters are far too clever to put MH under any pressure.............right?!).

Rodgers. Liverpool F***ed up big time during the transfer market. The 'Kop" are unforgiving in that respect and so too will be the American owners.

Hughes will go IF players don't gel quick enough, if we don't hit form by xmas it'll be too much...but that's all hypothetical ...I sadly don't think Liverpool will struggle at all despite their start...besides they have sterling!! So if I were to put a bet on it, I reckon Hughes or AVB as both have had massive transfer Windows and if they dont work out surely neither chairman will be happy! As AVB has only just gone there though I think he'll be given more time than our Hughes!

Don't think it will be Sparky, but agree that if by Christmas we are still in the relegation zone the owners will need to decide whether to stick with him and bolster the squad in January with MH or to get another manager to do it like they did with NW.
Assuming Southampton loose today I would think Adkins will come under pressure and may be the first to go

Interesting from Daily Mail online's "What the back pages say"
I'll try and get the full report
DAILY STAR SUNDAY
Former Southampton boss Harry Redknapp will be offered the Saints job again if Nigel Adkins' side struggle in the Premier League.

Here it is......
SAINT HARRY REDKNAPP
ABOVE: Harry Redknapp could be offered the Southampton job if the club lose faith in Nigel Adkins West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for him in recent days 2nd September 2012 By Harry Pratt SOUTHAMPTON will turn to Harry Redknapp if they lose faith in current manager Nigel Adkins.
The Saints board see their former boss, sacked by Spurs in the summer, as the ideal man should they end up in a Premier League survival scrap.
Redknapp, 65 (below) endured a torrid spell at St Mary’s back in 2004-05 when he could not prevent them being relegated to the Championship.
But since leaving Southampton, his stock has risen after leading rival outfit Portsmouth to FA Cup glory and Spurs to a fourth-placed Premier League finish twice in three seasons, as well as into the last eight of the Champions League in 2011.
West Ham, another of Redknapp’s old clubs, have been heavily linked with a move for him in recent days and it is the same with QPR.
But the fact Redknapp lives so close to Southampton could be crucial in luring the one-time favourite for the England job back to the club – along with the promise of a sizeable kitty from the club’s Italian chairman Nicola Cortese.
Although there is no immediate suggestion that Adkins is facing the chop – almost two years after he took over the club when they were in League One – there is a fear inside the club he may not be the answer at the highest level.
Rumours that he was on his way in the summer, after a clash over the club’s transfer policy, proved unfounded.
Yet before a ball was kicked this season, the former Sc**thorpe chief was installed as the bookies’ pick to be the first top-flight managerial casualty.
Back-to-back defeats against champions Man City and, more alarmingly, at home to Wigan last weekend have done nothing to ease those odds.
And that poor start is likely to get worse before getting better. The Saints host Man United this afternoon and next up comes a trip to Arsenal.
After those two games, Adkins’ side have an easier looking run of fixtures – against Aston Villa, Everton and Fulham – and it is that sequence of games which may decide his fate.
But even if the Saints pick up maximum points from those three games, the pressure will remain on Adkins as long as Redknapp is out of work.

I think Hughes' job is safe. Board recognize the last thing we need is managerial instability.
If we did go down Hughes still is part of the long term plan. Doubt they would blow it up and then have to start all over again.
Would be like building a skyscraper, hitting a snag a 1/4 of the way through and then demolishing the bit you built, finding a new spot, clearing the ground all over again, relaying new foundations ad building the thing all over again.
