 Good partnership on the way!!!!
« Thread Started on Aug 22, 2012, 10:10am »

Carvalho - Dawson, just what we need IMO.

Dawson, big, gutsy, honest, a bit slow but throws himself on the line and loves playing long balls out of defence.

Carvalho - Great in the air and scores the odd goal.

So :- TRAORE, CARVALHO, DAWSON, BOSINGWA

Strong back four, now we just need a Goalkeeper!!!

Very good back-four. My only little concern is that Dawson and Carvalho are both quite slow...

Really?

Carvalho was starting to look liable when he left Chelsea. Our defence was torn apart by basic movement from an average Premiership team. What is he going to do against the likes of Aguero/Balotelli/Suarez/RVP etc?

Too right Ror, Carvalho can read a game and carried Terry for years, still quality and still mobile. Played more a quarter of the season at Real Madrid and have you seen their back line? Can't believe people are moaning about the possibility of signing Carvalho! ::)

He'll turn out to be the new Bob Malcolm, you mark my words! ;)

I'm more worried by why we got Nelsen and Bosingwa and Green. And I think Fabio is crap.

George 50p head Santos, more like! ;)

Nelson, decent cover. Bosingwa, better than Ferrer (sp). Green, hmmm. I would be starting Traore ahead of Fabio and worry that he has some sort of playing clause in his loan deal....

Some way back on the daddy thread, no idea which page, when we signed him, I said what he was like. My son knows more than me as he watches MUTV but I've watched some of their reserve/youth games and what you see is what you get. There isn't better as he's only company for his brother really and look how he played in the Olympic final!!! ::)
