Boswinga and Fabio already in, Dawson, M'bia and Carvalho apparently on the way... could we have a completely new back four by the end of the month? Granted Fabio played against Swansea, but you know what I mean.
Personally I'd put Traore at left-back and move Fabio into midfield, Onouha on the bench. Hill and Ferdinand would have to fight their way back into first-team contention, no bad thing to have a bit of competition in our weakest area. Don't know much about M'bia, could he play a holding role in midfield?
Either way, if the rumoured newcomers do turn up there might actually be parts of the Norwich game I could watch looking straight at the screen (rather than through my hands).

Trouble is with pushing Fabio forward and bringing in Traore who do you drop for Hoilett?

True, Hoilett was the stand out performer from Swansea. Maybe put Fabio on the bench then as he offer options in defence and midfield, and if he starts to prove himself over the next few games he could earn a starting place ahead of Traore.

Ferdinand might see this as a wake up call. I really want him to succeed but last Saturday, he & Hill were atrocious.

I do hope Fabio doesn't have some sort of guaranteed games clause to his loan. He certainly didn't look better than Traore to me. Certainly not an improvement.
Dawson and Carvalho would definitely improve us but let's see who we actually get and it's official.

Bosingwa can't defend and Carvalho was old and struggling when he left Chelsea. Dawson would be a good signing but we would need to partner him with a pacey CB and Nelson/Ferdinand/Hill arent that.
My mums a better defender than Fabio.

IF Carvalho signs, presumably will be playing. And IF Dawson signs...

Been disappointed with Onahua from last season and hasn't started well this one either , hope there is a better player in there somewhere.

im not sure we need carvalho, unless he is going to be a sub and i cant see why he would leave RM to come here to sit on the bench. Nedum and Dawson would be my choice for CB. bosingwa at rb and Traore LB.
Park, Mbia,Diakite and Hoilett across the middle and then either bobby and cisse up front or adel given a free role. when ali is back then maybe its two of those three cm's fighting for the start
personally iv never thought ferdinand was a great defender, Dawson however pleases me and cant wait for him to get the shirt on

It can only get better.
That whole back five needs dropping. And replaced with cardboard cut outs. At least they may get a fortunate block

Green must be due a fortunate block.
We might even call it a save.

Maybe Onuoha at CB and he may fit in better than at RB. However you still put Fabio and Bosingwa in.
And I will ask mymum about Saturday Gramps!

Don't think we've signed anyone in time for norwich, add the fact the current crop now probably feel really unsettled/worried and we should be in an even worse state than vs swansea!!

Well Anton is trying his best to sound unruffled! There's something strangely surreal about the whole squad hanging around in the dressing room whilst each new player belts outs a song - as he says in the piece, the way things are going the initiation ceremony is going to take a while...
Anton Ferdinand: Whoever QPR buy, I’ll prove the doubters wrong again
http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football....n-8078819. html
New signings have threatened to keep me out of the team before in my career but I’ve always risen to the challenge, so if Queens Park Rangers bring in new defenders it will only improve us as a team and me as a player.
The more competition there is in the squad, the better it is for everyone and players should have to work hard to earn their place.
Michael Dawson and Ricardo Carvalho have been linked with a move and they are top defenders. If they sign, it will be a boost for everyone and I would welcome it.
I wouldn’t be looking over my shoulder. I have always backed my ability and I know what I can do. I’ll train as hard as I can to be the best I can be and keep the shirt.
At Sunderland, the manager brought in new players and I was still picked and I remember at West Ham, James Collins and Danny Gabbidon came in and to some people it looked like I might struggle but I was a regular starter.
This is what football is about. It keeps everybody on their toes and it shows the club’s ambition that they want to strengthen the squad with so many new faces.
It is easy to understand Mark Hughes as a manager because you know what he wants from you.
There is nothing complicated — if you train professionally and do your job on the pitch, you will play. Reputations count for nothing unless you are delivering on the pitch. He does what he feels is right for the club and he won’t reassure anyone — you have to be sharp if you want to be involved.
We know that wasn’t the case in our first match and we were all hurting afterwards. Nobody wants to start a season like we did and last weekend’s 5-0 defeat against Swansea was a wake-up call for everyone.
The manager told us that it was simply not good enough and performances like that won’t be tolerated. So everybody knuckled down this week and worked as hard as possible in training to make sure we are a lot better against Norwich tomorrow.
It is worth remembering that we have signed a lot of new players and it takes time to get to understand each other. Some of them came on tour with us and that helped the integration because when you are away, you live in each other’s pockets.
We went go-karting when we were away in Germany and generally just hung out together to find out what everyone’s about.
I knew Park Ji-Sung and Fabio da Silva from going up to Manchester to watch my brother play but I get on with all the new lads. We’ve all bonded and they’ve settled into the squad well. We have an initiation at QPR where all the new players have to sing a song in the dressing room at the first away match of the season. With all the new faces, we are going to be in there a while and I’m not sure how good they are going to be!
We want to make sure we get three points at Norwich. It will be a difficult game even though they had a bad start themselves — we know Carrow Road is a tough place to go after losing 2-1 there last season.
However, we know last week’s bad result was nothing like what we are capable of showing. There is a determination in this squad to pull ourselves clear of the relegation battle before it even begins.
We are on the back foot in terms of goal difference, too, but we can quickly wipe that out with a few positive results. We have Manchester City in our third game so we want points on the board before going back there.
There’s no time like the present to get things started.
