AS predicted by many!

(And NOTHING to do with our Asian Market outreach, I'm sure)

[i]I have to say, the bloke doesn't speak so it's a bloody pointless appointment. Give it to Ferdinand, at least he was actually talking to the ref!!![/i/

Agree with CPR, shouldn't be captain.

Had a decent game though

Excuse my ignorance but what did he do today "Diakite" was the main man in the middle.

;D

At one point in the first half, ref gave us a free kick, Ji went to take it but couldn't as Ferdinand was remonstrating to the ref, probably demanding a yellow for the handball and I just Sat there thinking, shouldn't Ji be doing that?

He didn't say one word all game to anyone. Strange decision football wise.

The Derry/Taarabt situation worked though so hopefully this one might as well with Ferdinand assuming the responsibility.

Park looked very good in the first half and was consistantly breaking up Swansea's play and tackling back, but did fade after the 70th min. or so.

Diakite was decent as well, though he looked a bit rusty compared to last season, which will improve and he and Park have seemed to have developed an understanding with each other about one going forward and the other dropping back already.

Losing Diakite opened up the midfield though as Park tired later on. We needed Faurlin to come on, not SWP at right back! :P

Taarabt it has to be said ran his arse off today, did some good stuff and a few clangers but made an effort - something our defence need to reflect on. I thought Hill & Ferdinand were both at 6's & 7's the whole game and it did not help with Green gifting his 3rd goal since joining us.

Such is the turnover of players we don't seem to have many candidates to be skipper. Ryan Nelson is skipper material but he's a new boy and may not play every week. I'm actually struggling to think of a single player who's likely to start most games AND has sufficient gravitas/presence to be skipper. Best I can come up with at the mo' is Anton.

Ferdinand did talk to the ref but can't seem to organise or back-four. He should not ba captain IMO, even if I said he should a few weeks ago, I changed my mind.

I disagree that the Captain has to have been with the club for a while. The right man (whoever it is) should be Captain, whether he's been with QPR a day, or a decade.

Mike Keen on the one hand (and Gerry Francis and Alan McDonald)...Or a new signing like Terry Venables, who got it instantly

Think we all understand the choice of Park isn't for football reasons. I'd rather Park than Anton though as for hill or nelson they are gonna be bit players this season as will Mackie and Derry. Whatever happens we need a vocal leader at the back and whilst Anton may talk he's no leader

One thing I would have against Park as captain is the fact that he runs around so much he is knakered before the end of the game
So I think we may see him substituted quite a lot

As i mentioned before, it's no big deal but appoint Derry club captain but select a captain on a match by match basis, don't even bother with a club captain even!
