Saw a lot of Pat up to when I went into the RAF in 1954 and again on coming home from Germany in 1957. Good, reliable player.

How Sad.
One of my childhood heroes."Splinter" was a good full back and a great club servant and he certainly knew how to blast in a penalty

A sad event, remember that shiny pate well. Some nice photos, especially for kerrins (the white shirts)! My first season, that one - I thought it was 60-61 recently, but it turns out it was the one before.
A key player in a fine team, that kept us on the edge of our, well, terraces, never went near a seat for donkeys' years, most of the time, as we gave goals away (almost) as liberally as we banged them in.
