Barton's beached: Blackpool decide not to take Joey Barton for the season
QPR bad-boy's 12-match ban is too big an issue for the Championship club - even though Hoops were willing to pay most of his wages
No go, Joe: Barton is facing a long spell in the stand at Loftus Road Getty Blackpool have rejected the chance to sign QPR misfit Joey Barton on a season-long loan.
Barton, 29, spent pre-season with the Championship side's League Two neighbours Fleetwood Town.
But while Rangers were willing to subsidise most of his £80,000-a-week wages, their offer was rejected by the Seasiders.
The Bloomfield Road club did not think it made financial sense to sign a player who must first serve a 12-game ban.
Blackpool have also been linked with Barton's QPR team-mate DJ Campbell, but a deal is as likely as Ian Holloway dressing in drag, according to the Tangerines' boss.

So lets see Ivanovic ban doesn't count and Terry's has been downgraded meanwhile outside the top 6.... Bad boy Barton cannot go out on loan, say Football League By NEIL ASHTON PUBLISHED: 22:51, 13 August 2012 | UPDATED: 22:51, 13 August 2012 Comments (0) Share Joey Barton remains in limbo after the Football League said they would not register him on loan at another club. QPR have attempted to get round Barton’s 12-game ban by loaning him to a team outside the Barclays Premier League. His 12-game ban would then be served quicker because of the volume of matches played by Football League teams. No loan move: Joey Barton won't be able to go on loan to the Football League But the Football League said a move to a club outside the top flight would not be in the spirit of the game and would bring it into disrepute. Barton was found guilty by the FA of two counts of violent conduct after being sent off against former club Manchester City for an off-the-ball incident involving Carlos Tevez in the final game of the season. He was then involved in a confrontation with Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany. Ban: Barton is suspended for the first 12 games of the season Barton was training with Fleetwood but that arrangement has come to an end and QPR are looking at alternative solutions. It's very odd that the FA rules allow for this to happen. If that is not what they want then maybe they should be a little more specific.

Good this is playing into the club's hands and ol Joey might just blow his lid and negotiate / instigate a severance of his contract with QPR

I'd find it hard to believe Ollie showing even a fraction of interest in Barton. And its the M****r which suggests it's a complete load of old bollocks and that there's a very bored hack drumming his fingers on his desk finding ways to fill space on the back pages.
