 Lennypaulista RIP
« Thread Started on Aug 4, 2012, 5:20pm »

Guys, just wanted to let you all know that one of the posters on here, and on Vital, passed away during the week.

Lennypaulista, as he was known on here, was diagnosed with terminal Cancer a few months ago and passed away in his sleep last Wednesday.

He was a true gent and faced his final battle with great bravery.

This is very sad.

Unlike Robbie, I had no idea Lenny was sick. Let alone...

And in his posts re Brazil and players, nothing suggested he wouldnt be seeing football for years to come.

And was posting re the Olympics just a couple of days ago.

RIP

Dear All

Many thanks indeed for all the kind posts following our sad loss.
Lenny had known for many months of his illness and the eventual outcome and decided that he would not broadcast the news but carry on as normal. He hated the thought of being treated differently if people knew.
At the memorial service today it was clear that he will leave a big gap in many lives, not only ours, but as he always said when things went wrong. "It happens, but the world will continue tomorrow whether we like it or not"

Once again. Thanks for all the kind messages

Dom and Sonia

PS. Hope you dont mind us using his account this one last time

Dreadful news, thoughts with you Dom and Sonia, terrible disease and I can fully understand his desire to not make itcommon knowledge. This shows the bravery and decency of the man to me.

Sad, sad news indeed. Will miss him, like everyone.

Nice read from Sandy, could it be he was known as Lenny the Lion as a youngster?
