How sad. (I think him becoming a MInister is great. I find him being a Chelsea Man distressing)
Gavin Peacock @gpeacock8 Great to meet with @stimmis today. Tried to convert him from a Man U man to Chelsea man...more importantly he's a Gospel man.

I think he is.
Used to write for one of the London Evening free sheets, was always described as a former Chelsea player and never once mentioned us....
Shame.......

I always thought he was a Charlton fan like his old man.
Must've changed during his playing days to C*****a.
At least he's doing proper penance for it now.

On a televised game he claimed to be Rangers, started and finshed his career (almost) with us, although I thought the same as Marky Mark. Never expect a man of the cloth to tell the complete truth eh!

It's sad that most of the players I have in my memories as a child, I have found as an adult that they rarely mention QPR.
Ray Wilkins much prefers Chelscum to us. (If I hear him mention his mate "Ash" again, I'll F***ing scream)
Sir Les refers to himself as a Spurs player, despite playing for QPR longer.
Peacock = Chelscum

I´m especially dissapointed with Clive Allen and Paul Goddard in that respect. But, I do also wonder if this could have something to do with how the club choses to recognize them publically. On the other hand, with so much turmoil going on for the past 10 years or so our respecitve owners might have had other issues to solve. Relegation, nearly going out of business etc. Anyway, given the club now have stability, I would very much like to see Fernandes adresses this problem in a proper way. This is a a very wize move to build identity in addition to the more international marketing one regarding branding in the far east etc.

Even Paddy Kenny was happy to go to Leeds, and that amazes me.
POTY in a Championship winning season, and loved by fans.
I know he wasn't here long, but it seems that QPR isn't as great a club as we all think.
I have seen the twitter comments too, people actually hate us.

His reason was that when he was a kid QPR ignored the local talent and had no connection with the community. Clive Allen's family are Spurs, I think mainly down to the fact that Les Allen won the double with Spurs when he was a player. When we played against Spurs in the 82 Cup Final he was asked if he supported us or Spurs in it and he replied he was supporting Clive! We'll always have Kevin Gallen!

Les Ferdinand had the chance to end his career with us (as he always suggested he might) and instead went for the money at Reading of all clubs !! Soon got injured and had to call it a day.
Therefore, although he WAS a legend during his time with us and I always rated him very highly, I'm afraid "Sir Les" is not for me a " QPR Legend" in the same way that Marsh, Bowles, Francis etc are and definitely not even close to the likes of Macca (R.I.P.), Birch, Cooky and Crouchy who are PROPER QPR !

Is Crouch "Proper QPR"?
He could have come to us last season instead of Stoke.

Paddy Kenny got abuse from several stupid QPR fans on Twitter the moment we got Green and we knew he would go to Leeds. Not really surprised he was a bit peeved when he left.

To be fair Paddy gave it just as bad as he got it on Twitter when he left. I guess you can't expect every footballer to leave in a good way. Look at Fitz Hall, he didn't get cocky when he left, and fans think much less of him than Paddy.

Is Crouch "Proper QPR"? He could have come to us last season instead of Stoke. He is indeed 'Proper QPR' ;D ;D ;D That's why he ducked out the way on the corner and dived for the penalty against Bolton. According to Marc Bircham after our home game against Stoke, Peter Crouch promised all the QPR players in the tunnel that he alone would beat Bolton to keep us up

"Oh Yes" !!! The 10 Million pounds Spuds wanted last Summer was out of our range THEN ! As a kid his Chelscum supporting Dad tried in vain to turn him to the dark side and he has supported us ever since. Didnt he also give us some money when he was transfered away, in a similar way to Cooky, during the dark years? He has gone on record (Soccer A.M. etc) many times about his connection with our great club. So yeah, Pwoper Pwoper PROPER !

Crouchy donated 10k when we were in serious shit. Lee Cook donated his fee from his Foolham transfer.

You show me how important it is to brand(Cough, cough) the club in the community from now on. Hands up for Bircham, Ainsworth and Gallen then.To me, those former players still seem to be very dedicated to our club.

Regarding the Kenny comments; I will always remember his smiling face. I bet Leeds United will benfit from having him in the squad. Not a dull moment, with him in sight, I can imagine!!
