Behind-Closed-Doors Game adds win and Match Fitness

Final Score: Barnet FC 1 - 0 QPR XI

The Bees completed their second game of the pre-season schedule, this time against a QPR XI, and maintained their 100% winning record under Head Coach, Mark Robson. The match, played at The Hive, was arranged as a last minute, behind-closed-door affair and was used by both clubs to watch a number of trialists whilst giving First Team players sufficient match time to build up their fitness.

All Bees squad players got at least 40 minutes of game time, with Ricky Holmes grabbing the winner against a strong Hoops side which contained seasoned Premiership pros including Rob Hulse, DJ Campbell, Tommy Smith and Bruno Andrade. We are also pleased to report that, apart from the players returning from injury, there are no fitness concerns after the last 2 pre-season fixtures.

Must be the weakest side we could put out though. Another good reason to offload some our 'seasoned premiership pro's' if they cant beat Barnet.

Its also couched in newspaper speak, 100% record (out of 2, some record). Good luck to Barnet though.

And 'not so deadly Dudley'! ;D
Must be gutting for them though in the stiffs, while their team mates are in Asia.

Hulse, the seasoned premiership pro

Hopefully this was actually a chance for Barnet to run the rule over him

Harsh but fair.

But we need to be careful. Hulse could be reeling from such criticism and be out for another 8 months from the resulting injury.

Pay him for doing nothing or being injured, choice is his.
