I went to the KL match which had loads of atmosphere albeit with only 15000 attending ( I reckon the official attendance was a made up figure). Much of the stadium was empty.
There were loads of drums, whistles and horns in KL BUT NO FIREWORKS like in Surabayar. This final match must have been so much more electric than the two in Malaysia. The stadium seemed to have a much fewer empty seats too!
Hope QPR come back to Asia next year. I suspect though that they will visit Korea and Japan next summer

They flew in the Alan McDonald plane to Singapore where they have just landed. In a few hours they will catch their flight straight back to England.

Thanks to the actual photographers and the posters whom put them up on here. This pre-season has had the most razzmatazz and positive hype than I've experienced for a long time.

ANTON: TEAM SPIRIT IS FANTASTIC Posted on: Wed 25 Jul 2012 Anton Ferdinand believes the R's pre-season tour to Asia has helped bed in Mark Hughes's new summer signings. Rob Green, Fabio da Silva, Ji-Sung Park, Andy Johnson, as well as Samba Diakite who penned a permanent deal this summer following his loan move last season, have all enjoyed their first experience of touring with QPR and Ferdinand has hailed the team spirit within the new-look squad. Article continues Advertisement "The team spirit is fantastic," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "That's what these trips are about, especially given the signings we've made. "It's important we all bond on and off the pitch. The new lads have settled in very, very well and very, very quickly. "There's a good feeling in this squad at the moment." Ferdinand played 45 minutes in the R's 2-1 triumph over Persebaya in Indonesia on Monday night, in front of a raucous 55,000 crowd. And the former Sunderland defender ranks it in his top five matches in terms of atmosphere. "That was right up there in terms of atmosphere," said Ferdinand. "It epitomised the great support the Malaysian and Indonesian fans have shown us all tour. "It was unreal when the lights went out with the fireworks and flares going off to light up the stadium. "It was amazing to be part of that and it's something I will always remember." He added: "I've played in a lot of big games. The FA Cup Final; the Play-Off Final; the Tyne-Wear derby; and of course, QPR v Chelsea; but that comes to close to them. "It's not far behind them. It was just a joy to be involved in." With just under four weeks to go until the big kick-off, the popular R's centre-half is already looking forward to August 18th, when Swansea City come to Loftus Road on the opening day. "I feel really good physically," he said. "Getting game-time under your belt is very important at this stage of the pre-season campaign. "I feel quite sharp - my lungs feel good and my legs feel good. "We go back to London and we put in more hard graft now ahead of the countdown to August 18th." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2858555,00.html?

MH: DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ABILITY IN ASIA Posted on: Wed 25 Jul 2012 The R's touched down at Heathrow in the early hours of this morning, leaving a hugely successful tour of south east Asia behind them. On the pitch, Mark Hughes's men won three out of three, while off it they were able to promote the name of QPR across Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond. Everywhere the team went they were greeted by hundreds of ecstatic supporters, and the most partisan of welcomes unquestionably occurred on Sunday evening when they arrived at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya for the final leg of their tour. Article continues Advertisement Meanwhile, the match itself against Persebaya on Monday night was watched by more than 55,000 fans at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium. "That game was quite an experience for everybody I think," Hughes told www.qpr.co.uk as he reflected on the trip. "We were told beforehand about what to expect in terms of the intensity and enthusiasm of the Persebaya fans. "But even though we expected it, it was still very special and something that each and every one of us will remember for a very long time. "I thought Persebaya were very good, and played to a good standard. They played the game the right way and tried to give us problems, so we had to concentrate to make sure we didn't give them too many opportunities." Prior to their 2-1 victory in Surabaya, Rangers registered comfortable 5-0 wins against a Sabah Select XI and Kelantan in Malaysia, and Hughes added: "From our point of view it was a fitness preparation and we were able to get a lot of game time into almost all the squad. "In the end we were able to win all three games, which was important for us and has helped us to prepare for the Premier League." Hughes admitted the quality of the teams on the tour impressed him, adding: "I'm surprised there are not more Asian players playing at a high level in Europe. "I don't think there is anything wrong in terms of the ability of the players here, I think opportunity is a factor. "Perhaps teams in the Premier League and across Europe need to open their minds to the ability that is available in other countries." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2858640,00.html?

And THIS time, the players return from an overseas tour and find that they are NOT Locked out of their training ground! LOL Mac, Gramps, I 'd like to see someone take a decibal measurer to the game. I think we will set new records this season for the loudness of the fans. Some teams will be overawde by it.
