QPR could be flying high next season... as owner Fernandes reveals new club plane! By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER PUBLISHED: 11:43, 20 June 2012 | UPDATED: 11:45, 20 June 2012
Premier League players have long been used to luxury travel. But Queens Parks Rangers look like they are ready to take it a step further with their own club plane.
Plane plans: Tony Fernandes tweeted this picture of the designs
The boss: Tony Fernandes Mega-rich owner Tony Fernandes has revealed designs for a new aircraft that will carry the colours and badge of the west London side. Fernandes, the boss of Air Asia, tweeted details of the plane to fans on Tuesday. He said: 'To all Rangers fans - plane will be launched when team are in Malaysia. Give me a name for the plane. Air Asia team want to call it Loftus. The interior is amazing.' Fernandes has also suggested that the plane - which is being painted at the moment - could be ready in time for QPR's opening fixture at home to Swansea. He may decide to have it flown in to nearby Heathrow as part of a stunt ahead of the new season.

I also note British Airways have pinched London Calling in their latest ad so might well be a great name for the plane.
