Poster on our Sister message WATRBS board quotes a Facebook post
That Hughes is trying to get a game against VSI Tampa Flames in the USA.

I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of them. (That's because they're not MLS, which is THE League for Soccer in America)

So it would be a strange, strange game. Fine for maybe building minor...But apart from that, not major at all.

Saw this earlier on Twitter but I thought it meant Mark Hughes talking to their players about playing at the top level. Don't think it meant trying to arrange a friendly.

Wonder wether we will have a friendly at Loftus Road this year...

Speaking of the Olympics, now that we get to see Nelsen play for New Zealand I might actually take some interest in it.

I'm not sure if this is can be right. I've done some consultancy for Tampa Bay Rowdies (the article mentions 'flames' but I think this is the same as there is only one 'soccer' team in Tampa) and I tried to get a connection between Tampa and QPR (Rodney Marsh/Steve Wicks) but the Club siad that Asia was their core market opportunity.

UK Clubs do go to Florida pre season, Orlando is now starting to become more popular with English teams (although the Northern East Coast cities will attract more interest New York/Chicago) and fixtures are already in place at the end of July for Orlando to play Stoke and also Forest.

It would be great if we do go to Tampa but I think it's one friendly too far
