 North west london
« Thread Started on Jun 5, 2012, 6:22pm »

Had a bit of a debate with an arsenal tosser in the pub the other day,who says I should be supporting the arse or spurs as am from 'north' london(nw10).i always thought nw ldn was split between west and north,a bit like sw is split between west and south.i always thought Brent and harrow classed as west, and barnet and Camden classed as north.nothing will stop me supporting my qpr,but is my mate right,am I really a north Londoner???

That's the other one I threw at him,but he makes the valid point that London has four corners, nth east sth and west.we call the likes areas like, battersea,Peckham Brixton vauxhall etc,sth London yet there isn't a s postcode!

NW is Harlesden Wembley, Harrow, Pinner. Arsenal is N by NE White Hart Lane NE. You are supporting a w. London team which is closer than those other two. Or if you want to be closer geographically, Harrow Borough or Watford.

If we still played in nw10/6 it would be interesting to know if games against arse/spurs would be nth ldn derbies,or would games against foolham and scumsea would still be west ldn derbies!

The river decides what's north and what's south, there is no river splitting east and west, those are facts, anything else is simply humans putting labels on things.

Anyway, tell him he should be from Woolwich and Arse should go home and he should be a Spurs or Barnet fan! ;D

Yeah your a north londoner but more importantly a londoner as a whole, and as the r's are a london club you are doing the right thing supporting a london club.

Ask your mate when wearing his colours about town how many ar se fans have gone out of there way for a chat or has been given a toot by a passing fellow ar se fan, i bet it aint as many times as you or i and many other rangers fans.

Yeah your right they are arrogant and rude, last year i was holidaying in Phucket, after a lake of Chang lager one night, i went for brekkie but it was packed so i went for the eggs and bacon option but there was only one seat a man and his wife and young lad he was wearing a ar se top so i thought i'm hungover i need my eggs and bacon im going for it we're on holiday he'll be alright, so i went over and said sorry to interupt but im hungover and hungry would you mind if i sat here and ate my brekkie, he looked at me deadpan paused for a few secs then said very curtly if you must, i sat down sheepishly and started eating, his wife i could sense was embarrased she tried small talk but by now the atmosphere was dead, what an ar se supporting mazda a,i know it was long winded but thought id share that tale of gooner wan*iness with you.

Who gives a crap Dean? You're and R's fan and that's it. Your choice (& a wise one I might add) You can come from whichever area you wish, once you pick your team then you spend a life supporting them.

At least here at QPR you have passion and you are an individual, whereas those gooner glory hunters are still trying to find some sort of glory and at the emirates you're just a number, not an individual.
