I think that West Ham will be in the bottom 5 most of if not all of next season.

I'd wait to see what happens at Spurs, WBA, Chelsea and Norwich as well before making any predictions. Wigan aren't out of the woods yet, especially if Redknapp leaves Spurs as Levy is apparently keen on Martinez. Hodgson, Lambert and Rodgers departures are going to have considerable fall out, but as of yet we don't know what the repercussions will be.

For example, Swansea are apparently keen on Di Matteo to replace Rodgers, which in my mind would not weaken them at all. If not, then they and Norwich are probably going to fight it out for Poyet. You would think that Poyet is not as good a manager as Di Matteo (RDM), so you would think that whoever gets Poyet would be more likely to be in a relegation battle than the team that gets RDM.

West Brom are apparently looking abroad for their next manager, which could also be considered a big gamble so they could end up in trouble.

Norwich are likely to lose Holt to Villa once the worst kept secret in football is made official with Lambert's appointment at some point this week. That will have an impact on them. There's also a growing feeling that Rodgers will now take Sigurdsson with him to Anfield (the deal with Swansea hasn't been concluded yet so there's no guarantee now that this won't happen). That could weaken Swansea quite badly.

All of a sudden there are a lot of teams that now can suddenly be dragged into the relegation conversation this season.

The current thinking in general is that Southampton will go and one of Reading or West Ham will also go with them. A number of clubs are now in the mix for that 3rd spot. As of now I think Wigan or Norwich are current faves to drop of thew present incumbents.

I think it will be three banks of 6 clubs, although I think the top 3 are nailed on.

Otherwise perm the banks up.

Top 6 will be in high 60s plus points

Next 6 all in mid 50s

Next 6 low to mid 40s

bottom two low 30s.

I'd be very surprised the way things are levelling out if the top side got more than low 80s points and I think there will be no last day deciders for champions but very likely any two teams from the bottom bank battling on the last day for survival.

1 Man. C.
2 Arsenal
3 Man. U.
4 Liverpool
5 Chelsea
6 Spurs
==============
7 Newcastle
8 Everton
9 QPR
10 Aston Villa
11 Sunderland
12 Stoke
===============
13 Fulham
14 WBA
15 Norwich
16 West Ham
17 Wigan
18 Swansea
===============
19 Reading
20 Southampton

I don't know if it will be next year. But I do believe one of these years, one of the teams outside the "Big 4 or Big 6" will actually surge in and actually win it - With "lesser" Players, etc. And boy will the big clubs have a conniption fit - and finding themselves excluded :D

Agree with you there, if they can keep their best players I can definitely see them in the Champions League very soon.

Yes, I agree there are a lot of management changes afoot it seems. Rodgers may also take Vorm to Liverpool which would leave Swansea deep in the doodoo as their defence was never that great anyway. Also, as we proved, other teams now have the experience to play against them properly.

I think Norwich did so well thanks to a huge slice of luck and possibly running on adrenaline...I'd be surprised if they're not fighting the drop next season whoever they get in charge.

It's going to be an interesting Summer! I might make a prediction in August. It's a good game!

Yep, Newcastle look like the side to break through as well...I mean if that Papiss Cisse has a complete season even half as good as the one just gone, they're gonna be brilliant.

I think Pardew deserves great credit for what he's done there. Looks like the board struck lucky after the dodgy sacking of Hughton!

Special message to qprtobefrank:

If your forecast is correct matey, it is not too far from Maldon in Essex to Morden in Surrey so I will drive down to you, take you out for a slap up meal at a hostelry of your choice, as much as you can drink and then I'll drop you off at your home afterwards.

i believe any new signings especially judged on free signings is not going to make a significant change to where we are likely to finish next season.

i am certain we will be better placed to finish higher with the experience likely to come in and i feel we are going to improve gradually each season.

so my prediction at this early stage is as follows.

1/ man.city

2/ arsenal

3/ man.utd

4/ chelsea

5/ everton

6/ stoke

7/ liverpool

8/ newcastle

9/ west brom

10/ sunderland

11/ spurs

12/ villa

13 / fulham

14/ qpr

15 / southampton

16/ norwich

17/ swansea

18/ wigan

19/ reading

20 / west ham

i am more hopeful of west ham being there due to they are arse.oles and thats where i want them to be .lol
