Just read on here we,re keeping SWP,IMO a waste of money, and unbelievable we are keeping Dire,i know that spellings wrong, but its true. How many more players are we going to waste money on?.Why dont we go for Hoilett to replace him?much much better player. At least we are getting rid of some of the deadwood, admittedly some serving our club well.I think Defoe would be a good addition,to our team, tho not so sure about Andy Johnson?we have lacked 20+goal scorers for years, and after all you need goals to stay in Prem league.IMO we need 6/7 quality players,to avoid the same scenario again.I APPLAUD Sparky,s words"No team of mine will ever be in this position again"now is the time to prove it Mr Hughes.

Very highly doubt Defoe will sign for us, Hoilett will go to Spurs.

Hughes boasts of signing players who increase in value... Some of the players we're linked to clearly wouldnt fit in that
|
"..I also find it insulting that qpr-reports site are asking so many questions. They seem to want to know everything that goes on at the club..." |

SWP?? Dyer?? If he intends to use these two then we are going to be struggling again.

Wait and see who we have assembled 31/8 before we panic , give the guy a chance ! Now equates to 3 months and 3 days , hardly needs to be rushed ,but would hope the additions are in by mid july in the main so they can be included in the trip and friendlies!

All these rumours about players were supposed to be chasing, i bet no one knows what marks targets are.

As our previous window threads have shown will be linked with every man and his dog, before buying the person standing in the next field.

Seriously, why are people getting negative over paper talk?? Since when have the tabloids been right at this stage of the game - the window isn't even open yet!!
As for Dyer, no-one actually knows if he'll be any good or not if he can manage not to get injured for 5 minutes! He certainly used to be, and Hughes clearly sees his quality else he would have released him. In his case, the greater concern is occupying one of the 25 rather than the money, which I assume will be largly insignificant as all he wants to do is play. Personally, I think it's a bit of fresh air to have a player on our books who isn't interested in a massive wage.
SWP....well, yes, his debut season was pretty pants. But as I said somewhere else, I'm not going to completely write him off until I see him play next season, in a QPR side that is managed and run properly, and isn't fighting relegation. He could potentially be a different animal. If not, then we'll know by January and a decision can be made then.
There's no point getting wound up about anything else until the Club confirms any deals. Hughes isn't stupid - he's not going to sign an over the hill dinosaur when we have the money and the means to do far better. Just look at his track record, signings he made for Blackburn, City and Fulham have - by and large - been very impressive. I have faith he'll repeat that. If this Diakite business can be dealt with, then there's your first one, and none of us had heard of him before.

Nice one Lads,
I agree. Hughes can now take us forward and i trust in him and his decisions.I think the future looks bright but please lets not get above ourselves with expectations, we still have a long way to go. So no talk of top ten finishes if we do well for the first few games please. The most important thing is stability with the academy and training ground and if we do finish up the table it is a bonus.A sound(not silly)financial backing so we still remain a 'proper' football club not a stars boutique like our 'friends' down the road
Cheers,
Jay
