It'll increase interest but the EPL gets good coverage anyway these days...Chelsea use to get a lot of coverage because of Mourinho and the amount of Portugeezers the had/have...most Portuguese support one of Benfica/Sporting/Porto no need to follow foreign clubs like in Asia. Fair amount of us in West London though who are second generation who support a UK club and a Portuguese club...most of my lot are QPR fans due to my persistence when I was younger but we have the odd rouge Arsenal fan.

Non starter? Marseille say QPR must buy M'Bia before they borrow Barton
Hughes is hoping to loan his banned bad-boy to the French side for the season but their president brands a deal "impossible"
French kiss-off? Marseille are now iffy about Barton loan Mark Hughes has urged Joey Barton to take French leave with a year-long loan with Marseille.
But the Ligue 1 club are claiming they will only take on the enfant terrible of the Premier League if Rangers buy their midfielder Stephane M'Bia.
Barton is banned for the first 12 games of the season after being sent off in the season finale against Manchester City in May, and has not even been given a squad number by QPR.
He had a spell training at League Two side Fleetwood and has been linked with loans to Championship sides Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn.
Although Hughes claimed no offer had been made by Marseille, he revealed: There has been interest shown and I think it would be a good option for Joey.
There have been decent options put to him before but he didnt think they were right for him. This one makes sense for him and certainly for us.
Joey wasnt going to be in my 25, so he needed to look at his options.
"He could come back here and train with the group but he wouldnt be training with the full squad.
"This makes sense for everybody.
Dirty dozen: Barton is banned for 12 games after his dismissal at City Shaun Botterill Marseille have already sold midfielder Alou Diarra to West Ham, and are desperate to offload more players after failing to qualify for European football this season.
But president Vincent Labrune said: The condition (of loaning Barton) was that we had a concrete offer for M'Bia.
"But the probability of seeing M'Bia now sign for QPR is very weak and in this case, the Barton deal is impossible to see.
Before QPR's season-opening home game against Swansea on Saturday, Hughes has landed Jose Bosingwa on a free.
The Portugal defender, released by QPR's neighbours Chelsea at the end of last season, signed a three-year deal to become the clubs eighth recruit of the summer.
Ironically, Bosingwa was sent off at Loftus Road last October as Rangers beat Chelsea, 1-0.
Hughes hailed the arrival of the double Champions League winner and told the club's official website: "I am delighted to bring a player of his undoubted quality to the club. He has got plenty of pace, great technical ability and all the attributes you need to be a top player.
"Jose has a lot of versatility which is something I like my players to have. He can operate right across the back and can also play the holding role in midfield.
Good neighbour: Hughes is thrilled to sign Bosingwa after Chelsea let him go Getty "He's another Champions League winner, the third in the squad now with Park Ji-sung and Djibril Cisse, and will add invaluable experience to the group.
"His experience is really important to us. He understands the Premier League and he understands what it takes to win games. He has got a winning mentality and that is what I want to have around the place."

Villa spark? Lambert has his eye on Defoe, Carroll AND Kenwyne Jones
The big Liverpool misfit is already on Lambo's radar as he prepares for the Premier League kick-off but he clearly has other targets too
Forward march! Lambert is looking to improve his options up front Clive Mason Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert wants a new striker, and has revealed he likes the look of both Kenwyne Jones and Jermain Defoe.
Lambert has already admitted taking Liverpool and England frontman Andy Carroll on loan is an attractive option, and now he has refused to rule out moving for Stoke's Jones or Spurs' Defoe.
"You are talking about two really good players and different types of players," said the Scot, whose Villa reign begins in earnest with Saturday's trip to West Ham.
"A club this size will always be linked with players of that ilk.
"You don't ever stop looking for players, and you have to always try to improve."
Lambert is also chasing Ipswich left-back Aaron Cresswell.

http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-striker-in8-talks-with62-bristol-city
QPR have accepted an offer from Bristol City for out-of-favour striker DJ Campbell.
The 30-year-old is discussing personal terms with the Championship club after being told he can leave Loftus Road.
Campbell joined Rangers from Blackpool a year ago but has been unable to make an impact and was hampered by injury problems last season.
Blackpool would like to re-sign him but are unlikely to meet his wage demands, while Watford have also expressed an interest.

Personally I Still want Ki...Zouma, Samba and and Defoe (or someone of that quality)
(I have no idea how we can afford it. I shudder at what our wage bill must be or what our annual loss must be...But we're so out on a limb...if this falls through...)

Good luck to DJ Campbell... Shame he didn't get much of a chance last season (sickness, injuries and then didn't fully take his chance!)

ASSE - Transfer: Zouma pressure and intermediate ... August 18, 2012 by Palissarde0 Comment

Kurt Zouma | @ IconSport You speak for several days of transfer rumors hovering around the coveted hope of the ASSE, Kurt Zouma. Just months after receiving his tray, the French is on the shopping list of several (very) big clubs , including the side of the English Premier League. The team confirmed these keys, Saturday, and even talks about the pressure qu'exerceraient intermediaries on the family environment to encourage the player to leave the Greens. Kurt Zouma to ASSE, would be under pressure to spin England Kurt Zouma has yet extended his contract with ASSE to June 2016, last April. The deal that binds him to Saint-Etienne seems concrete and agreement seemed to bind the club and the player to explore the possibility of starting not before summer 2013. The problem is that the figures circulating around the individual are enormous for a club like St Etienne, seventh budget of Ligue 1 clubs for an estimate to 50m in 2012-2013. Transfer Zouma represent over 20% of the annual budget of the ASSE You spoke of the supposed interest of QPR to the tune of almost 10m a few days ago. The team confirmed that both Manchester would also be on the spot today. Citizens and are even willing to surenchérier in this story. Offer more than 10m, which now seems complicated to refuse for a club like St Etienne. This transfer would represent only 20% of the annual budget of the club, would alone pay half the annual wage bill of the club and would thus give a breath of fresh air to a club who, thanks to a strict wage policy, maintains its accounts slightly in the positive today (800 000 euros of anticipated profits on the season). The biggest transfer ever made by the Greens for 12 years is that of 15m for Gomis Recall that currently, the largest sale ever conducted by ASSE on the market for 12 years, is that of Bafetimbi Gomis in Lyon in July 2009. It was then reported 15 million ... (see the 15 biggest sellers of the century Saint-Etienne )

Celts boss set for showdown talks with hot property Ki Sung Yueng
THE £7million-rated midfielder is at the centre of a four-way fight for his signature with Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, QPR and Fulham all in the hunt.
Celtic's Ki Sung Yueng NEIL LENNON will hold showdown talks with Ki Sung Yueng this weekend in a bid to resolve the South Koreans future.
The £7million-rated midfielder is at the centre of a four-way fight for his signature with Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, QPR and Fulham all in the hunt.
Ki has been given extra time off this summer after helping his country reach the Olympic semi-finals.
But Lennon, who insists he will not be sold cheaply, wants him back in Glasgow by Sunday at the latest.
The Parkhead boss has not spoken with him for a month and is desperate to hear whether the 23-year-old is still committed to the club.
Lennon said: He wanted a wee bit of extra time because it was a pretty demanding tournament and weve afforded him that time.
But we could do with him coming back over the weekend and hes been made aware of that so were hoping to see him maybe on Sunday for training.
If anyone wants him they will have to pay a good fee for him.
Ive had no contact with anyone I dont know if Peter Lawwell has but it wouldnt surprise me if there were a few clubs interested with his contract situation being as it is as well.
I havent seen Ki in a month so I dont know what hes thinking.
Hopefully when I see him, which hopefully will be on Sunday, he can let me know what hes thinking.
With 11 players doubtful for todays trip to Ross County and a crunch Champions League play-off with Helsingborgs on Tuesday, the Parkhead boss is understandably anxious to have Ki back on board as soon as possible.
He said: The games I watched at the Olympics he played well in. I reckon hell be back full of it, full of beans.
It will be like having a new signing. He will go straight into the squad anyway.
Hell be fit enough because hes had plenty of football recently and these guys tend to look after themselves very well in any case.

QPR boss Mark Hughes is planning an ambitious bid for Barcelona centre-back Andreu Fontas, according to The People.
It is claimed talks have begun ahead of a possible £4.5m move for the 22-year-old, who has a year of his Barca contract left to run.
Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday pick up on Chelsea youngster Josh McEachrans imminent loan move.

And Chelsea are tracking Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote, the Sunday Mirror say.
It is claimed that Magpies boss Alan Pardew believes he may get offers for Toite and Yohan Cabaye before the transfer deadline, with Manchester United also said to be interested.
The Sunday Mirror also suggest Luka Modric will snub a fresh approach from Chelsea to join Real Madrid from Tottenham, who apparently plan to table another bid for Fulhams Moussa Dembele.

IMO its Manuel Neuer and he would cost around £40m.
Cheaper option would be Buffon for about £25m

Getting To Know: Andreu Fontąs by Bostjan Cernensek on May 18, 2011 9:00 AM CEST in Getting To Know
1 COMMENT EMAIL PRINT
David Ramos - Getty Images Full name: Andreu Fontąs Prat Squad No: 26 Position: Center back Date of birth: 14 November 1989 Place of birth: Banyoles, Spain Height: 1.86 m (6 ft 1 in) Weight: 89 kg (196 lbs)
Andreu Fontąs was born in Banyoles, a town in the northeast part of Catalonia. It was there Fontąs made his first steps in football. He joined his first football academy at his hometown club at the the age of six. He stayed with CD Banyoles for eleven years, but in 2006 Fontąs joined Girona FC, a bigger local club.
In 2007, Andreu was approached by FC Barcelona's officials and they offered him to join La Masia. He joined Barca's youth ranks at the age of 17 as a defensive midfielder. In Barcelona he started to play in the heart of the defense, as a center back. After Fontąs' first year in the academy he was promoted to Barcelona B.
Fontąs immediately became a important player for Barcelona's second team. He was used as a holding midfielder and as a defender. Andreu played 72 games for the B team in three season and he also scored two goals. On 17 March 2011, as a result of Eric Abidal's absence, Fontąs was promoted to the first team.
But the wasn't his first rodeo with the big boys. Fontąs made his official debut on 31 August 2009 in a La Liga game against Sporting Gijón. Since his debut he made a few occasional appearances, most of them as a starter in less important matches. Altogether Andreu has nine first team appearances and he also scored his first, and so far only, goal, in the Champions League no less.
In international football Fontąs played with every Under-age team Spain has to offer. However, he is still waiting for his senior team call-up.
Profile Andreu Fontąs is a commanding center back, but he isn't only limited to that position. He can move up to play defensive midfielder and this year he proved that, if necessary, he can fill in at left back. His tackling is excellent, but he struggles when he faces speedy opponents as he doesn't possess the necessary pace.
Honors FC Barcelona
La Liga (2): 2009-10, 2010-11
Spain
Mediterranean Games (1): 2009
In July 2010 Fontąs extended his contract for a further season, keeping him at the Camp Nou until the end of the 2011/12 season.
This basically concludes Barcelona's first team. But before you say: "Oh no, there's no one left to review", don't worry. I'm going to expand the series a bit and get to know the mastermind behind this team, Josep Guardiola.
