This is bad news on 2 scores (a) he's a good youngish player (b) makes West Ham less likely to take Barton off our hands
Mohamed Diame to join West Ham from Wigan on a three-year deal
Midfielder Mohamed Diame has turned down a new contract offer from Wigan to join West Ham on a three-year deal. The 25-year-old Senegal international will sign for the Hammers on July 1 when his deal at Wigan expires. Diame is West Ham's third signing since returning to the Premier League, following keepers Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stephen Henderson to Upton Park. He said: "I am very excited to have joined the club. I am looking forward to showing what I can do on the pitch." West Ham manager Sam Allardyce said: "His potential is really good and he is ready to go and compete in the first team straight away because he's had three years in the Premier League already."

Can't help think that clubs like Chelsea buy some players purely to stop other clus buying them.

Newcastle, Liverpool and QPR are all weighing up a move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, after he was offered around Premier League clubs.
The 19-year-old has been given permission to quit the Bernabeu after failing to break into Jose Mourinho's first-team squad, making just one appearance in each of the last two seasons. A strong, powerful and energetic striker, Morata has fared better for Madrid's B team, known as Real Madrid Castilla, scoring 17 times last term, and attracting interest from Wigan. Latics manager Roberto Martinez was keen on a £1million swoop in January, but Madrid pulled the plug on the transfer, with Morata still hopeful of forcing his way into Mourinho's plans. However, minutes failed to materlise in the closing stages of the season, and the Spanish Under-19 regular has now asked his agent to offer him around English clubs. Newcastle and Liverpool have expressed an interest, but must do battle with big-spending QPR, who are reportedly ready to offer Morata wages of around £30,000-a-week, to tempt him to London. Morata is expected to decide on his future next month.

This is the 3rd time that Fanfc.com have linked us to Toure...does that make it more credible?
QPR planning shock Toure bid 08:00 PM 20 June, 2012 Queens Park Rangers Football Club are plotting a bid for Kolo Toure.
The Ivory Coast international is no longer considered a first team pick by Manchester City, although he did help them clinch the Premier League title last season.
Roberto Mancini, though, is in the market for another new defender during the summer, and this would see the former Arsenal star further slip down the pecking order.
Mark Hughes, who signed Toure during his time in charge of City, is keen on a reunion with the 31-year-old, and the QPR boss is lining up a £5million offer for his signature.

When i said weeks ago see Johnson and Murphy joining they laughed
Desperate for Danny: Hughes lines up old pal Murphy for QPR
Midfielder's vast experience could be invaluable for Rangers at the start of next season as Joey Barton serves his 12-match suspension
Rangers or Rovers?: Murphy has a choice between QPR and Blackburn QPR are in talks with Fulham midfield veteran Danny Murphy - but face a fight with Blackburn for his signature.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/t....f-fulham-904626
Former Craven Cottage Mark Hughes wants to bring his old skipper to Rangers from their west London neighbours.
The QPR chief has already landed old boys Andy Johnson from Fulham and Ryan Nelsen, who played for him at Blackburn, and now wants Murphy’s expertise and leadership - suspended Joey Barton will be absent for the first 12 games.
Murphy has also spoken to relegated Rovers about joining them on a two-year deal.
However, Rangers will get their man if they match the Championship side's terms as he will be able to stay in the London.

A broken toilet flush as they see their Premier league place disappearing down the bog due to a lack of players.

Lee Cook Looking
SKY - Cook eyes Championship move Winger looking forward to next season
By Chris Galea.
Former QPR winger Lee Cook is looking forward to pitting his wits in the Championship again after a frustrating spell at Loftus Road.
The 29-year-old's second spell at the club he supported since childhood was marred by injury, but the tricky playmaker proved both his fitness and quality during loan spells at Leyton Orient and Charlton.
Cook is currently searching for a new club after being released by the Premier League outfit at the end of the season and having helped the Addicks secure promotion the League One title he told Sky Sports that he is hungry to play in the second-tier this season.
"I just can't wait for pre-season to come round because I am raring to go already having proved my fitness during the two loan spells," he told Sky Sports.
"I didn't really want the season to end when it did, especially at Charlton where everyone was buzzing following the promotion.
"This summer will be a bit weird because for the first time as a player I really want it to fly by whereas most players will probably be enjoying the time off.
"I'm not sure where it is going to be yet, but I'm really looking forward to July 1st and getting going again.
"It will be another tough year in the Championship, but it is like that every year because there are so many big clubs either coming down or going up into it.
"The year before we went up, at QPR, was probably the toughest, with Newcastle and West Brom going up automatically.
"Next year will probably be even tougher with the teams that have come down and also the likes of Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday coming up.
"Charlton have got a big squad and are a good club with a bit of money behind them and a good fanbase too and Sheffield Wednesday are similar in that sense.
"You could probably pick one from 14 or 15 clubs that are capable of finishing inside the top six and I'm hoping to be a part of that."

My belief is that Hughes is trying to build an experienced squad that he feels sure about, so that he knows we will not end up in à desperate survival fight. Then when he has the experienced players in place he will start mixing it up a bit, or so I hope.

Ok now we have an experience squad. But would like to see some younger players being signed. Looks like we won't be getting Moses. ZaHa already a good natural talent that will be even better with good experienced pro's around him.

Warnock to Sign....Hitman to shite A Brick
http://www.fansfc.com/story/41296.html
Queens Park Rangers Football Club are keen on Stephen Warnock.
Loftus Road manager Mark Hughes is a huge admirer of the left back, having signed him whilst in charge of Blackburn Rovers back in January 2007.
The Welsh coach also wanted to sign Warnock during his time at Manchester City, but whilst he didn’t manage it that time, he could now get his man again.
The 30-year-old is in the final 12 months of his contract at Aston Villa, and Hughes hopes to persuade the Midlands club to sell for a fee of £2.5million.
