Aston Villa and QPR are chasing Wigan Athletic winger Victor Moses.

The exciting Nigeria international has put off new contract talks at the DW.

Moses still has a year to run on his current deal at Wigan but his agent says he has no intention of penning a new one and is keen to move on to another club.

This is a poor translation from a Turkish site but seems to confirm we did enquire about Fernandes...I think ???

I think he's exactly what we need. He has pace, finishing, cross and can take on defenders.

At the end of the season, I thought we needed a GK, a centre-back, a left-back, Diakité and an offensive player. We seem to have signed Diakité, but on the other players needed, I think the players we are linked with are exactly what we need.

- Ben Foster would be that solid goalkeeper we need. Fraser Forster or Given would be good options too. Rob Green is a decent Goalkeeper, but I'd rather Foster/Forster/Given.

- Benoit Trémoulinas as left-back is talented and skillful, he's just the player who can improve a lot under Mark Hughes, and I rate him highly.

- Chris Samba is a rock, and I would love us to sign him up.

- Victor Moses is versatile. If Cissé is suspended, he can play up front. If Adel is injured, he can play behind the striker. If Mackie is injured, he can play on the wing, right or left. That's exactly the player we need. And he would be quite cheap, and I've always loved him.

If we sign Foster, Trémoulinas, Samba, Diakité and Moses (that would cost us around £25 millions), I'd be over the moon.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAH!

I'D LOVE IT! IMO, Only Reina, Čech, Krul and Hart are better than Foster in the Prem. He's really one of the Top 6 GK of this league (Vorm and Mignolet is not far of).

He's not too old, he's good it the airs, he can catch the ball, save penalties, has great reflexes. He could be our keeper for the next 7-8 years!

And even the possibility of having a QPR Player back in the England Squad (Especially if there are some injuries!)

Foster £5m + Diakite £3.5 + Tremoulinas £6m + Samba £8m + Andy Johnson free = money well spent. Plus a few loans as well maybe.

Swap Andy Johnson with Moses and I'd bite your hand. Even in my wildest dreams I wouldn't have imagine us to sign such players three years ago. And even today, I'd dream us to sign Samba, Foster and Diakité.

We're being linked to a lot of names. Would be very interesting to see who we end up with. I remember a lot of excitement last year and a similar big thread. Was a lot of disappointment. Come The start of the season. We're aiming higher now. Will we hit our targets this time around?

Prem eyes on Wolves starlet
Fulham, QPR & West Ham eye Ismail
June 7, 2012 2:56pm

Sky Sports understands several Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on highly-rated Wolves starlet Zeli Ismail.

Ismail, who has come through the ranks at Molineux, is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in England after catching the eye for Wolves and England's youth sides.

The talented winger has been talked about since the age of 14 when he burst onto the scene with England's Under 16s at the Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland.
The likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in Ismail in the past and a number of other clubs are also tracking his progress.

Ismail is entering the final year of his contract at Wolves and as yet no new deal has been discussed alerting his suitors to his possible availability.

The likes of Fulham, Queens Park Rangers and West Ham are all thought to be weighing up moves for the skilful midfielder as they look to lure him from Molineux.

Wolves would be loath to lose their prize asset, but they could face a fight to keep hold of him if they fail to tie him down to a new deal with Premier League clubs waiting in the wings to snap him up.

We stumbled, we need to learn to walk, then we can run. Some of these prices are utter madness and I don't believe them. If they are true call us Pompey Park Rangers.

AS for Taiwo, he said himself that he wanted to join and hoped the clause was activated. However, I do agree that as a choice, Benfica is a far better option. He loved it with us though and proved it, couldn't get him off the pitch!!!

As we (perhaps) go head to head with Arsenal for a player: MAYBE we can match wages with our sister clubs. But we can't offer players European football - So I presume that's an obstacle at the upper reaches.

Paul Warburton re DJ Campbell

Paul Warburton/Chronicle

Striker set for showdown talks over QPR future

DJ CAMPBELL is set for showdown talks at QPR to find out whether he has a future with the club.
Buy Running Equipment

The striker suffered a series of injuries during the last campaign that relegated him to a mere two starts and nine sub appearances since joining in summer 2011.

More worryingly, the Hammersmith-born player, a Rangers fan all his life, knows he is down the pecking order behind Djibril Cissé and Bobby Zamora.

Early indications are boss Mark Hughes would like to keep Campbell as back-up, but the 30-year-old is only too aware time is running out to make a bigger impact in the top flight.

A source close to Campbell said: “In an ideal world, DJ would get a lot more chances next season with his injuries now behind him.

“But in football’s world that’s not how it works. No-one in his position wants to hang around a bench playing a bit part.”

Ironically, Campbell was the only player previous chairman Flavio Briatore was willing to buy after QPR returned to the Premier League.

Although Jay Bothroyd also joined Rs under Neil Warnock – the former Cardiff City striker was a free transfer unlike the £1.2million Briatore had to pay Blackpool for Campbell.

The source added: “If it’s not to be QPR – there are a few clubs out there who would jump at the chance of signing a striker who scored 13 Premier League goals in the previous season with Blackpool.”

That looks like a promising youngster. Probably another Mike Riggs find. Hope Wolves sell and we bag him.

Surely it will not be official until the summer transfer window opens... Don't think they'll announce unless it's completed 100%.

Transfers between two English clubs can be official as soon as the season is over. Chelsea have already announced Hazard's signing, same with Podolski to Arsenal and Kagawa to Man Utd.

That's great then. I want us to announce Foster as soon as. But I guess we might have to wait for Diakite...

My understanding with regards to those transfers you mentioned was that they have agreed terms and of course those deals will go through and will be rubber stamped once the window opens. We can do the same and announce deals we have agreed as well, but I read this the other day:

BEARD REAFFIRMS TRANSFER POLICY
Posted on: Thu 07 Jun 2012

QPR CEO Philip Beard has reaffirmed the Club's stance on announcing player transfers, insisting that deals will only be confirmed when they are contractually complete.

Media sources have linked the R's to a number of potential targets in recent weeks, as the countdown to next year's Barclays Premier League campaign begins to gather pace.

Beard, however, insists that transfers will only be announced through the Club's official media channels when they are 100 per-cent complete.

Gianni's gone. And with him gone, so has the font of leaks - either directly from him; or through his QPR Official "proxies." Sure occasionally things will still get out. But not the "authorized," deliberately and strategically-rationaled leaking done to bolster a poster and his website
