QPR Official Site - SLADE LOOKS AHEAD
There were mixed emotions for Rangers striker Steve Slade this week. He won a recall to the R's line-up at Birmingham on Tuesday night, but watched in horror as QPR slipped to another defeat through a late goal.
Steve was starting a game for the first time since January and with the current injury crisis at Loftus Road, he is likely to be back in action against promotion chasers Bradford City at Loftus Road on Sunday.
R's will be desperate to get a victory that would go a long way to alleviating any fears of relegation and Steve is hoping that lady luck swings in Rangers way for a change.
" We're just not getting the rub of the green at the moment," said the Rangers front man.
" We played quite well at Birmingham, but conceded an unlucky goal right at the end. Hopefully things will change on Saturday.
Now Steve is looking ahead to another chance to put things right this weekend.
" I was delighted to get back in the side the other night. But the main thing is we survive and stay up."
" A good thing is that we seem to do better against the teams at the top. If we can get a result on Saturday then the pressure should be off."
