You have to ask yourself if Warnock knew Clint Hill that well why on earth didn't he play him in the middle of defense instead of insisting on playing Hall or Gabbidon .
I think we wouldn't of been in a mad relegation scrap if hill was there from the start.

Anyone who questioned the Hughes appointment/ Warnock sacking should answer that question. Hill was like a new signing playing in that position.

We never had anyone else to play Left back and we Had the likes of Hall, Ferdinand and Gabbidon at Centre back. Remember Hughes bought Onuoha also to play centre back and Hill was only put their by Hughes because Young was injured at right back and Onuoha was switched there so Hughes moved Hill into the centre.. He has performed so he was left there.

Think yesterdays match shows how much faith Hughes had in Hall or Gabby!!!.............Hall not even on the bench & Gabby on the bench............our 10 men running dry with SWP limping & didn't bring him on the replace any tired legs!!!............Some how I think both will be gone this summer!!!!

Don't know re Center Half. But Sending Hill out on loan was strange - as most of us thought at the time

hill at centre was a necessity at the time and he just made it his own, i would think that warnock loaned hill out to give him games, not to keep him in shape as a no1 reason but as a kind thing to do for hill, i think hill thought he was finished once the defenders were signed and warnock thought that those signings were enough, but after a while he recalled hill, cos he knew he was wrong.
and that is a answer from a QPR fan who thought sacking warnock was bad.

I'm just so pleased he's performed at this level , everyone remember when NW Signed Hill and Derry , i think there was a few that gasped when we signed them but theyve both been good assets to us in both Divisions .
Imagine if we had lost him to Forest , dont bear thinking about !

I didn't think Derry or Hill would cut it at this level I'm ashamed to admit. Given that Derry played a very small part in the 1st half of the season and Hill was shipped out to Forest, Warnock didn't seem to think so either.
Given what they've done since Hughes took over proves that he is the man to take us forward as far as I'm concerned.

He recalled Hill because Connolly, Gabbidon and Traore were all injured. Was mainly for Traore who replaced him at left back and was out for a few weeks.
