Season Over: Thanks To All (Most) Contributors
« Thread Started on May 14, 2012, 8:01pm »

Thanks to the various posters on this board...

And to all the contributors whether the amazing photo archives of Bushman - and perhaps even more impressive - his ability to access

Gramps amazing memories which led to the book...and London's great memories back to that era

To Maudes's Q&A with Fans of the Opposing teams...

To BLOCKHEAD's Live Chat which took off this year - and all the other changes to the Proboard site, which most are probably are not aware of - or that BLOCKHEAD made them. [Edit/Apologies! :-X )

To the cute smilies made by Haqpr1963 and Haqpr1963's recent Tables and Designs of the opposing teams.

To London's Prediction Tables

To Mark's "Spot the Ball" (which I think we all love - and miss! :D )

To my fellow moderators and my fellow posters

This board has obviously continued to grow.. I think we all very much hope and intend for the central ethose of "We band of Brothers" to continue.

Unfortunately there are some harsh expressions which go beyond what is wanted. By some it's just a lapse. By a few, it's not.

I probably will remember to add some extra thanks...But until then:

I would like to back up Mac's posts by saying that to me this site has improved every year and this 11/12 year was no exception. This has been my favourite year so far. For the reasons mentioned above. A board full of excellent posters that includes the young guns Rory and Hogan Jr. Who have both showed a lot of maturity and knowledge beyond their years.

In a year where the club was promoted and retained it's premier league status. It has finally matched the premier league standards set by this site.

Thanks to you Mac for creating and all involved in maintaining this excellent board. I don't post as often as I would like to but when I do I know that it's read and replied to by knowledgable die hard R's fans, who always remind me why I have and always will support this great club.

Here's to a less stressful 2012/13!

Really am very glad I found this message board over a year ago. It has been great going through the highs and lows with fellow hooped brothers and sisters.

Was great to meet Gramps, Maude and very briefly cpr earlier on this season.

I have no doubt in my mind that this is the best site for QPR news and opinions and I am sure we will continue to grow as a community.

Oops somehow forgot to mention what great work the moderators have done, especially when a certain ex-poster was constantly hassling me. I'm grateful for the way you dealt with that particular situation.

Overall it has been great posting on a board with people of real passion and incredible knowledge of QPR from well before my time.
The amount of time that some of the people spend on the board giving information and great posts is something else.
I have only been here for a short time, but every single day Macmoish is on the board every single morning keeping everybody up to date with news involving QPR or other big stories.
The only negative for me is when some fans from other clubs are allowed to come on here and make attacks on the club or certain individuals and do not get banned for it.
But overall I have enjoyed it very much and we are in the premiership next season, just in case anybody had forgotten

I may not be Shakespeare, but here goes.

Over here and over there , life can be a mare, but I don,t care.

Day and night I have this site, Sometimes wrong, but always right.

Thousands of miles away in distance, but a click of the fingers, and friends in instance.

Onwards and upwards, Brothers in Arms. We are QPR.

May not be Shakespeare but Will I am? ;D Nice little verse.

For the newer posters among us, I have a few car window stickers left if you would like one, drop me a PM and I'll post you one.

Not too many left now though.

First season back in the Premier League and we survived, this MB survived (Unlike the Official Club one) and as we progress toward next season we will of course be thinking on ways things might be improved or new innovations. There were only a few snidey comments mad about this particular site which usually came from a source known for them and against the owner usually. Still they are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. I thank my fellow Mods for all their ideas etc behind the scenes. Kinda feel like I'm slacking in some respects. Anyway, whilst at it, this site is as good as the users - good and bad, your input has made it pretty much the only site I live on. I want to be here and I want for those whom read but not yet participate, to perhaps consider joining in with their own views. They ARE or WOULD be appreciated. We don't always agree on here and that is fine. I'm all for challenging one's perceptions....so long as they are done in accordance to the MB's general rules which is available for all to read.

Thank you everyone. It's not been the best 7 or so months in my own private life but I have come through a lot of issues. I've a fantastic wife and grandson however this site has been a constant "friend' for me to get a break and to that I really do owe all of you participants and Mods an awesome lot of gratitude and thanks!

Been a great year and my thanks to those who pressured me to write my book (especially Rory who was the main instigator) but NO there will not be another one - sorry about that.

I love talking to Rs supporters all over the world and have chatted by phone with quite a few during the season, mainly in connection with my book. Will always remember a great chat with Lone who rang me from NZ and another supporter (not of this board) who called me from Australia and, of course, my mate Canada who has given me so much help with the book (as have Mark, Mac and Bushy of course). Brilliant. Anybody who fancies a chat at any time, just give me a call. You can find the number on www.qprtheolddays.com .
