I don't mind the badge. I never really liked the centenary badge anyway, IMO it dated really badly. The 70's ball and shield will always be my favourite.

I don't like it: You see all these other clubs with great, great creasts.
So you didn't like the horseshoes?

The Hammersmith badge would be my second favourite I also loved the ball badge on our shirts, especially on the red shirt.

I liked the previous one myself.
I feel for all the guys who had Tats of it.
Somehow don't see many getting the new one.

I have a particular fondness for the Hammersmith one. It was the Club badge when I started coming to LR but I don't think we actually wore it on the shirts in my time. Too expensive, they said, if I remember rightly. But they did wear it a year or two before for a while, I think.
While the crown is as meaningless as the cuddly tiger.

And a year ago today ... There's some bs you don't mind. And some, is just ugh!May 4, 2008 - QPR Official Site QPR OFFICIAL SITE EXCLUSIVE: A NEW ERA IN W12Queens Park Rangers Football Club today unveiled a new Club crest, marking the start of a new era for the W12 based Club. Officially launched today (Sunday 4th May 2008), the new logo signifies the Club's determination to embrace a new chapter and identity at Loftus Road. The new Crest combines elements of the Club's heritage and was designed to encapsulate the past, present and future, with the famous Hoops being re-integrated into the official identity. R's legends from yesteryear joined QPR's current squad and children from the Club's Centre of Excellence on the pitch ahead of kick-off against West Bromwich Albion to unveil the new crest. Flavio Briatore, Chairman of QPR Holdings Ltd, said: "This is a significant day for Queens Park Rangers Football Club and it was important for the fans to see the new crest first. "It represents another huge forward step in our aim to re-launch the Club into a global brand - anchored in W12, but giving it a vision for the future. "I am delighted with the design of the new crest, which maintains the Queens Park Rangers tradition of blue and white hoops. I know how important it is to the fans that the hoops remain, and that was always going to be the case." Briatore explained the rationale behind the new crest, adding: "This is a period of huge transformation at QPR. "This new crest is stylish, thrilling and authentic and signifies the start of what we hope will become the most successful period in the Club's history." Bernie Ecclestone added: "I feel that the new crest that we are launching today really shows we are moving forward as a Club. "I hope the fans are happy with the current achievements and that the future brings what everyone at the Club is looking forward to." Amit Bhatia, Vice Chairman of QPR Holdings Ltd, added: "I am really delighted with our new crest. "It is a fresh, modern and bold design, reflecting the new mood of optimism at Loftus Road, whilst still retaining links to our glorious past. "The crest compliments the new styles that Lotto Sport Italia have created for the new kit to be unveiled shortly. Redesigning the crest is an additional step in our efforts to give QPR a new identity and in our continual regeneration of the Club as we forge ahead on the road to promotion and beyond." Gareth Ainsworth, QPR Club Captain, said: "We got to see the crest for the first time a few weeks ago, and I really like it. It has a traditional feel to it, and it's nice that they've managed to incorporate the blue and white hoops. After all, they're synonymous with QPR. "I have played with the old crest on my shirt for the past five years, and it has been an absolute honour. Now I am looking forward to playing with the new crest on me. Rest assured, I'll have just as much passion. "The Club is moving forward at an incredible pace, and this new badge is a sign of a new era, and hopefully an era which is going to be hugely successful." R's legend Paul Parker, who made 125 appearances during a four-year spell in W12, said: "I'm very impressed with the new crest - it successfully embraces the old and the new. "The historical links are embodied within the design of the crest and the flamboyance and style points towards an exciting future for this great Football Club." The old badge was way cooler than the new badge. Was has Royalty got to do with QPR? I hate the new badge but I think it reflects the style of Briatore and his love of creating exclusive clubs for celebrities and the rich.
Why don't we here London Calling and White Man In Hammersmith Palais over the tannoy anymore?

Just a quick one, inspired by the Acton Ealing Whistlers F.C. : Always wanted the black and red stripes to be represented, they are an important part of our identity.

I meant more Enid Blyton Famous 5 kinda club! CPR - only just found out about Acton Whistlers the other day. I've only just settled in W5 and now me and the wife are going to start a family so I've been researching all the local teams so I can plot a path for my kids to the QPR first team, if they want to, and as Gallen was a local boy I looked into his youth teams and he used to play for them. I also like the idea of music and football married together under one club as it was originally intended to teach Irish music and dance to the local community and the football side that grew out of it still plays to this day. Does the Surrey Youth League play outside of our season. If they do I'll pop down and support the Cobham every now and then. Sort of like keeping me fit as a supporter over the close season!

We've some six a side tournies coming up, home base is Imber Court, Met Police ground. A&E play in a bird sanctuary and you can't get a drink, no good for me.

Didn't like the Official Crest a year ago. Don't like it today.
They should go back to the horseshoes. If they have to do some changes to it so can etain copyright, so be it. But that should be the basic crest. (In my opinion)

I was excited when I heard we were getting a new badge as our last one was a bit plain and simple and always wanted a change. So I have to admit when I first saw it I was a little unimpressed. The design is like gilding the lilly. I can understand the owners trying to rebrand the club but his design doesnt do anything for me.
I like markqpr's design and something like that would be good.
Im sure the club will change the design eventually if fans kick enough stink over it.
