Hypocritical? After the amount of damage your bunch of bruisers do? Mentioning Warnock won't hurt me...at the end of the day, his Football League record speaks for itself, and guess what, he got us promoted. I have no love for him aside from that, and particularly not now that it looks like he's going to sign another thug in El Hadji Diouf. I was never a fan of his before he came to us - and there were more than the odd few Rangers fans who groaned in shame at the time, I can tell you! But because of what he did, he's a QPR legend to many.
As for Barton, that was Warnock's signing, and unlike other players, he's admitted his past wrong doings, done his time and now behaves like a mature professional 90% of the time. He's never been in trouble since he's come to us, and only been sent off because of a cheating opponent. I can't remember one dirty challenge especially either. So, you can stuff that as well. Everyone deserves a second chance...just not perhaps a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. There are plenty worse! Marlon King is one, Balotelli is another, John Terry and his whole family etc etc.
When your entire ethos is based around battering the opposition week in week out, then yes, I can take the moral high ground.
As for the no Israel thing - whatever! Fernandes hasn't even had an opportunity to come out and refute the whole thing yet, since it only appeared on News Now this morning so I'll just ignore that whole section until it's been addressed. The guy is a Malaysian businessman, who seems as honest as the day is long, so what on earth would he have an interest in such things for? Besides which, I really don't think he'd be that stupid! I hear it came from a source in Manchester??
We don't need you to do anything..as I said, if you win or draw, great well done Stoke, bye bye Bolton. If you lose and we fail to get a point at City, we'll go down...it's in our hands. Bolton could go down even if they do beat you. But I'm not celebrating your version of football for anything, and if Bolton get the ball down and play through you then fair play to them...we're here because of plenty of other results that didn't go our way, and - in my opinion - partly because of Warnock who you think we all love (I don't), and partly because of consistently dreadful refereeing decisions which have cost us around 6 points in total.
As for being geniuine, QPR has been in my family for 3 generations. I'm just not willing to sit here and listen to Stoke fans come on a QPR board, slag off our manager, call me a dickhead and behave like we should be bloody grateful if you do exactly what you ought to be doing at the weekend, in finishing as high up as you can to maximise revenue.
I'm also extremely disappointed that no other QPR fans can see where I'm coming from, and I'm alone in my own back yard! Terrific! Still, I'm sticking to my guns and that's that. What will be will be.

And even IF really was a QPR fan, surely he's no more representative of QPR Fans, than was say, some lackey who became a lapdog apparatchik for Gianni was representative of QPR Fans. Or the Fan coin throwers or hoodlums at QPR or anywhere are representative of the club or a fan board. It would only be fair to judge QPR fans on this board on the basis of their comments on this board

One "clarification" re the Fernandes/Israel matter. That is absolutely accurate (although the avowed approach was a little bit more nuanced) and I as i mentioned earlier today, I noted it more than two months on my blog and on this board. http://qprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi....ay&thread=31352
(Obviously some may applaud such a position; others be appalled - as I was/as I posted on my blog. But it's not a news story for today)
However why this two month-old story should come out as news today. When there is nothing new to it, can only speculate!

As I've said once ( which has now got lost through some delusions of granduer on some of your parts) good luck for Sunday I don't really care either way.

I have only been on this site since August and I have only seen a few 'exchanges' with other supporters. In my limited experience these guys have been ok and I have to say, probably the best of them. They were never going to be our bosom buddies and didnt set out to try. They have declared themselves up front and have been prepared to have a robust exchange with us. It seems that for this weekend we will be partly sharing the same path with the Stokies. They want to win and we want them to win. From their point of view they want to win and they dont particularly give a sh*t if we do or not. But from all the clubs we have had on here they have stayed the longest, given as good as they have received and been as good with their insults as we have. They havent descended though into the crap we've had from Norwich, Fulham etc. I reckon this board has done just what it set out to do in the first place.

I pretty much agree with you alfaranger.
I have the feeling that at any other time, some of our "home team" Posters would have been a little more restrained.

Potter seems alright, a reasonable sort of guy. There's never any love lost between supporters of different clubs. I have read a lot worse.

Come on, let's be honest, we'd give our hide teeth for what Stoke have achieved. Premier League safety, European football, a decent stadium that makes a decent noise and Crouchy leading the line. We also wouldn't give a toss what sort of football we played, unless we lost a few on the trot (which seems to be their current grouse). I love to hark back to Rodneee, Stanley, Currie, Wegerlie and Sir Les, but, you have to hack your way out of Div 1 and I didn't love the team any less (probably more).
We are like most fans (including the honourable Stokies). Love our club, couldn't give a monkeys about anybody else's.

If I to am to be honest I do not hate Chelsea anymore. Why because we quite simply we can not compete with them anymore. Sure back in the nineties and earlier we were real rivals but times have change since our demise from the PL. However my feelings might change to how they are if we were to sustain Premier league status . Before I get shot down by fellow R's the reason why I do not feel the hate I used too is because I am pre-occupied with us retaining PL status. If we secure PL status then I might "big might" start to dislike Chelsea like i used to do If this makes sense.

For me my hatred of Chelsea isn't affected by whether or not we are competing with them on the same level, it's just there and it won't go away. Not that I want it to mind....

I am in agreement with you and fans can curse me all they want.
Fierce rivalry should be reciprocated and it's not between our two clubs because Chelsea fans see Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal as main rivals. They think we're so obsessed with their club that every time we play them they call it QPR fans' cup final. Embarrassing really.
In the 1990's it was a lot different because we were already established as a top club. The rivalry was there but it wasn't so intense, more like jovial banter. I was at the game when we beat them 4-2 (Mark Falco scoring one of the goals of the season) and there was none of this chanting of "scum" or hatred that we see now. I didn't hate Chelsea then, I don't hate them now.
I'd rather our fans weren't so obsessed with Chelsea as it reflects on all of us and makes us look desperate for a rival. Maybe when we retain our place in the top flight and get a new stadium filling more than 30,000 people Chelsea may look at us differently.
Either way, I couldn't give a shite if Chelsea were our rival or not.

Rory I used too feel the same way but as I have got older I no longer feel have that feeling sure I still love beating them in local derbies but the feeling of hate has gone for now. I would have love nothing more than getting the bragging rights of a double over Chelsea but that was not to be.
Chelsea are at another level to us we are competing for survival at the English highest level and they are competing for the highest level in Europe. I take my son who is only 8 and have taken him since he was 5. Since we have been PL I have told him that too be a QPR supporter is special because it is easy to be a glory hunter i.e Spurs or Arsenal or Chelsea. But he was next too me when Cisse scored in the 89 minute and he was jumping as much as I was. My point is that hate for Chelsea is to strong feeling we as a footballing nation have since moved on in these terms dislike is another is thing.

i agree they are on a different level the problem is they rub it in at every possible moment and remind us of that fact.
and the bitterness from them is getting turned up a bit as it is evident that their gravy train is not too far from drying up and ours is just beginning.
it is only a matter of time and going sown to us would be a setback and take fernandes a bit longer to achieve what he wants by staying up the goal will be completed quicker.
lets just hope it goes right tomorrow and then you will see old rivalries very much back on for sure.

Potter thanks for your posts and like i said good luck in the game and for next season , i'm sure theres enough players around for us both next yr within our budgets and worse teams than us aound so we both finish mid table .
Nice to read a few reports that you want to get the most points in a Premiership season so hopefully you can get three more .
If we go down we dont blame Stoke City thats for sure , youve done well since you arrived in the Prem .
Although Potter even you would have to admit that getting 79 points and finishing 2nd place in Champs was pretty jammy (lol, lowest 2nd placing for many many years)
Good luck and as opposing fans we will never agree on everything but nice to get some views from your side .

2 months ago? Interesting! Well, I can't claim to be clued up on foreign affairs, but my opinions of the general state of middle eastern countries would no doubt cause offence - suffice it to say, this doesn't really change what I think of Tony Fernandes. Not only that, I don't know the facts about who has signed what, and what was written at the time of signing etc etc.
People can say anything to be honest - just throw the racism card in, and no-one seems to care where it's from, merely the allegation is 'proof' enough that the accused is guilty. Sums up this country really..but that's nothing to do with QPR so I'll get off me soap box quick!!

I quite like them myself because they are the only team in the premiership sh1te enough to lose to us twice
Trouble is they are so sh1te that they will probably lose to Bolton twice as well
