Funny how they have all seemed to forget that if we were given the goal we rightly should have had against them, we would have been safe today already .

Yeh, one of the stupid f*** said we were robbing b*stards?! I'm sorry...YOU WHAT?? Well, since they inexplicably have something against Hughes, I can say that I sure as hell won't be disappointed to see the back of Owen Coyles miserable mug.

We've just won 5 home games on the trot which is a new club record isn't it? Bolton threw away a 2 goal advantage at home, and have at least 2 more points than they should have had from just our disallowed goal on it's own, so they can go trotting right the way down to league 2 for all I care, goldfish brained idiots. And they can bloody well take Lee Mason with them.

Club record for the Premiership. We apparently achieved this feat in the 86-87 season, I believe I read.

Bolton Match report (They took their time to put this up - as i tweeted!)

Bolton Official Site

Bolton Wanderers will travel to the Britannia Stadium on the final day of the season needing nothing less than a win following a 2-2 home draw with West Bromwich Albion.

The Whites took the lead in the 23rd minute when Martin Petrov converted from the penalty spot after Mark Davies had been fouled inside the area.

The lead was doubled 18 minutes from the end after Liam Ridgewell's clearance struck Billy Jones and found its way past Ben Foster.

But West Brom hit back to salvage a point from the game with a late rally, firstly pegging Bolton back with Chris Brunt's left-foot effort and then grabbing a last minute equaliser through James Morrison's clinical far post finish.

The big news prior to kick-off was the return of Chung-Yong Lee, who was a handed a surprise place on the substitutes' bench following his time on the sidelines with a broken leg.

The South Korean played 70 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday and Owen Coyle deemed him to be fit enough for a place in his matchday 18.

It was an action-packed first half, with Bolton signalling their intent right from the first minute when a Chris Eagles pot-shot from 25 yards thundered into the side-netting.

His counterpart on the left-wing, Martin Petrov, also proved a menace as he sent over a host a crosses into the danger area throughout the half.

Indeed, there was no less than four separate occasions when the Bulgarian delivered for Kevin Davies, who was causing problems for the Baggies back-four.

In the first instance, with 12 minutes on the clock, the captain was unfortunate to see a back-post effort from five yards out fly narrowly over the crossbar after a brilliant cross-field pass from Dedryck Boyata in the build-up.

And from two corners, Davies also brought Foster into a smart instinctive save, while a header floated just over the target.

Petrov had also brought a parry out of Foster before he opened the scoring midway through the half with yet another precisely-executed penalty kick.

For the third time in just over a month, Mark Davies had been upended inside the area, this time through a combination of Youssouf Mulumbu and Keith Andrews. Petrov stepped up and buried his spot-kick, beating the outstretched hand of Foster, who had dived to correct side.

West Brom too had their moments and just minutes before going behind, Shane Long had seen a stabbed effort from close-range deflect off Bogdan and hit the frame of the goal.

The Hungarian goalkeeper was also in the midst of the action when he did well to hold a header from Gareth McAuley and a 20-yard curler from Chris Brunt.

The first half ended as it started with Eagles coming close, this time with a half-volley from the edge area that was smashed inches over the bar.

Wanderers lined up at the start of the second half with one change to their team as Zat Knight replaced David Wheater.

The former Middlesbrough man had landed awkwardly in the moments leading up to half-time and after further examination at the interval, it was deemed that he was unfit to continue.

West Bromwich Albion came out after the break and continued to play their part in what was an open and end-to-end encounter.

Graham Dorrans should have done better when unmarked from 12 yards out, while a powerful header from Jonas Olsson was athletically clutched by Bogdan. The Bolton stopper was also needed when Liam Ridgewell laced in a powerful effort from a tight angle.

After Eagles again fired over and Foster had produced a brilliant low save to keep out Kevin Davies' header,Owen Coyle changed things up top as David Ngog was replaced by Ivan Klasnic.

The Croatian had a positive impact as he saw an instinctive effort blocked on the edge of the area, before setting the wheels in motion for Bolton's second goal of the afternoon.

Klasnic picked up possession in central midfield, played the ball out wide to Petrov, who galloped forward and delivered into the penalty area. Ridgewell cleared but the ball cannoned off Billy Jones past the helpless Foster.

Almost immediately the Baggies pulled one back as good work from Dorrans culminated in Brunt smashing home a loose ball from the edge of the area.

The visiting team now had their wind in their sails and persisted in their efforts to find a late equaliser.

And Roy Hodgson's men succeeded in the 90th minute when substitute James Morrison converted with a tidy finish at the far post following intelligent play from Simon Cox just inside the area on the right-hand side.

Chung-Yong Lee received a standing ovation when he appeared from the bench late on as he played his first game of the season over nine months since breaking his leg in a pre-season friendly at Newport County.

Bolton: Bogdan, Boyata, Ream, Wheater (Knight 46), Ricketts, Eagles, Mark Davies, Reo-Coker, Petrov (Chung-Yong 82), Kevin Davies, Ngog (Klasnic 67) (Subs not used: Jaaskelainen, Alonso, Ryo, Vela)

West Bromwich Albion: Foster, Olsson, Ridgewell, Andrews (Morrison 73), Long, Brunt, Dorrans (Cox 81), Mulumbu (Scharner 78), McAuley, Jones, Antoine-Fortune (Subs not used: Fulop, Morrison, Allan, Shorey, Dawson)

Manager's West Brom Verdict
Posted on: Sun 06 May 2012

Bolton Wanderers face Stoke City next weekend knowing that they have to secure maximum points on their trip to the Potteries.

West Brom registered a draw at the Reebok in the penultimate match of the season after clawing back a two-goal deficit in the closing stages.

And Manager Owen Coyle says that his team's away form gives them every chance of achieving a result at the Britannia Stadium.

"I don't think there's any doubt that we feel like we have dropped two points in a home game that we were desperate to win," said Coyle in his post-match press conference.

"For 75 minutes we had done enough to earn the three points. We got ourselves in a position where we were two goals in front, accepting that the second was a bit fortuitous.

"At that point, we have to see the game out but there were a few nerves and people got anxious in the last 15 minutes.

"My disappointment is that from my point of view we have conceded two soft goals. Once Chris Brunt scored, at that point we have to say to ourselves that we won't be breached again.

"We sat back too much and when we were attacking, we weren't keeping hold of possession. That allowed West Brom, who have very good players, time to get passes and runners in.

"The outcome was harsh on us, but we were always going to have to go to Stoke and get a result. We have to make sure we are on top of our game when we go to the Britannia Stadium next Sunday.

"Given the way we have played on our travels this year and the results that that we have picked up, we are more than capable of doing that. Football is a game of high drama and things can change very quickly.

"I'd like to place on record our sincere thanks to all our supporters who have backed us this season, home and away.

"We had another bumper crowd again today and we really do appreciate the backing that our fans continue to give us.

"We are taking a sell-out allocation to Stoke and we will need every single fan behind us at the Britannia Stadium."

S'pose after tonking us 4-0 back in august they didn't really see things panning out like they have done. To be honest I'd rather Wigan went down than Bolton.... Wigan have had a good innings at top-table but they'll never be a proper prem club. Still, as long as one of them and not us go down I'm not overly bothered.

Just to address the balance, other Bolton fans have said that we deserve to stay up and that their team deserves to go down.

Well I haven't forgiven them for 6-4 back in 1969/70 or 0-4 back in 1969/70. (Forget their double this season!)
