Terrible result last night. Man City will now have to beat us last game and Bolton play West Brom with a manager heading for England. Look what happened to Spurs.

For once this clown gets it right!

Manchester City were always going to beat us anyway - don't delude yourself otherwise. Hodgson heading for England really makes no difference to anything. Que sera, sera.

what a way to end the season though!!

city need to win to clinch title = we go down

we need to win to survive = we win utd win title also.

a draw could possibly see both of us get what we want!

so glad i have a ticket for this [image]

All this is possible - if unlikely.

What is absolutely not possible: Alex Ferguson being gracious in defeat! ::)

Yes but Fergy has promised that if we beat Man. City, he will omit Ashly Young when we play next season.

Spammer - That's your second shameless self-promotion post in a week.

Are you that desperate for hits?

You lot will fu(k up the playoffs, can your owners afford another season in the championship?

How long can you stay there until it eats all the profits from when Gold and Sullivan redevelop Upton Park after moving you to who knows where?

assuming we beat stoke..........man utd drop points against swans...........city beat newquay brown ale.....city v QPR both can play for a draw with no worries if we talk nice to mancini.

38 points will be enough for us to stay up and citys GD will be enough for them to get the title even if manu win.

whose with me on this [image]

That last game is going to be brilliant to watch. So much riding on one game, at least if we go down we have a part to play in who wins the title.

One very small grateful note: We should just be grateful we didn't get smashed say 9-1 by Chelsea. Because then, beyond the utter humiliation of the day - We'd have to keep "Record Defeat: Chelsea 9 QPR 1" And that would be all the time...A Jarring reminder. Now we can just put this memory...And just bring it out when we play Chelsea next.

City are clearing to win the league- how many times have we played the champions last game of the season recently? Newcastle, Reading, West Brom. It's a fix ;)

haha, well we know the FA hate us so I wouldn't be surprised ;D ;)

I think the best we could hope for is both teams needing a draw to win the league/stay up. Then we could talk to City and agree on drawing the game :D :D

I remember relegating City to third tier (and preserving our 2nd tier status) at Maine Rd several years ago with a 2-2 draw I think it was? It was very nasty and hostile all game - small knot of Rs fans in a corner surrounded by Mancs lobbing stuff at us. Afterwards and outside they roamed streets looking for us - basically it was pretty hairy. All in all I've found them to be a consistently nasty bunch over many years despite the fact they have seemingly hoodwinked a generation into believing they are just plucky/noisy neighbours who are cocking a snook to the Red half of Manc-land.
There are still many ways these last few games will play out.... could be anything from a giant "love-in" to a bloodbath at Etihad - I suggest you keep yourself prepared for ALL eventualities if you're going.

I don' think we'll have much say in it if we play like we did against the scum. Nothings changed man city wise, but woy leaving for england could well put WBA right out of it, or maybe they'll have that boost from a new gaffer/careftaker, so who knows!

Hodgson is taking charge of WBA's last two games.

I would be suprised if we can last the first 15mins

On the plus side, if we do go down then I think we have achieved more tham most in our first Premier League season. Which other team can boast:

- stripping the England captaincy from John Terry
- a consequence of which led to the Capello's resignation
- the spectacle of John Terry in court in July
- starting a serious discussion on goal-line technology to the Bolton ghost-goal
- revealing Ashley Young to be a diving cheat to the mainstream world.
- Having the most players sent off this season (and nearing the record)

Any other achievements I have missed?

Or we stay up and FA announce irregularities in Cisses transfer as he is a citizen of Tanganyika, automatic 6 point deduction.
