 QPR ARE A NON ENTITY
« Thread Started on Apr 30, 2012, 9:34pm »

According to Gary Neville on Sky Sports Monday Night Football. When talking about the fixtures left for Man City he mentioned how tough a game City have against Newcastle and said that we were a non entity especially after our performance against Chelscum.

Well, that performance would hardly have had City quaking in their boots.

Regardless of whether City had to win the title or not it was never going to be an easy game and, this is all our own fault for not picking up enough points in the other games.

As long as we go into that final game knowing that a result will keep us save, we have hope. Maybe it's not likely. Maybe it's highly unlikely. But you just never know. And the degree to which we are belittled and disparaged and slighted and given no chance: Well that doesnt hurt our chances for getting that shock result.

But we must beat Stoke

That wouldn't be the headlines: If we actually did it, the headline would be more along the lines of "Plucky Manchester City robbed by Unfair Ref as QPR Deny Starving Manchester City fans of a chance of a Dream coming true"

MANCHESTER, England: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson accused Roberto Mancini of attempting to influence officials after a furious touchline bust-up with the Manchester City boss here Monday.

Ferguson and Mancini had to be separated during an explosive finger-jabbing confrontation in the 76th minute of a highly charged encounter at Eastlands which saw City take control of the title race with a 1-0 victory.

Ferguson had leapt from his dugout to protest after an ugly challenge from Nigel De Jong on United substitute Danny Welbeck.

The 70-year-old United boss later accused Mancini of harassing officials throughout the title duel.

"Mancini was badgering the ref and the fourth official all game," Ferguson told the BBC. "He was complaining about refs all week, but he can't complain about this one."

However Ferguson had few complaints about a defeat which he admitted had left the destiny of the title in City's hands.

"We didn't test their keeper enough really, we started brightly and for the first 15 minutes we dominated, but the longer the half went on we were looking for half-time and the goal came at a bad time for us," Ferguson said.

"I can't complain about the result, they were more of a threat from counter-attacks.

"It was a damaging result, they are in the driving seat and we are up against it. They only need to win to two more games and they win the league, simple as that," said Ferguson, whose side have now taken only four points from a possible 12 in their last four games.

Ferguson was also unhappy with United's defending for City's winning goal, which came when Vincent Kompany headed in a David Silva corner on the stroke of half-time.

"If you lose a goal at a setpiece at this level of football then you only have yourself to blame for that," Ferguson said.

"It was a bad time to concede a goal because there was nothing really happening at the end of the first half."

Mancini meanwhile brushed off the confrontation with Ferguson.

"I was talking with the fourth official, he told me some kind words, I answered him and it finished," said Mancini, who shook hands with Ferguson after the final whistle.

He also laughed off Ferguson's suggestions that he had been attempting to influence the match officials.

"And him? No? He never talks with the referee, no, never," Mancini said sarcastically.

Although City now top the table on goal difference, meaning wins over Newcastle and QPR will virtually assure them of the title, Mancini meanwhile insisted that United were still in a strong position to retain their crown.

"They have easy games -- they play against Swansea and Sunderland. We have Newcastle and QPR. These two teams are strong teams," Mancini said.

"For United it will be easy. But we have two strong teams, Newcastle and QPR -- one plays for the Champions League, one plays for relegation."

"But now it's not finished. If we think its finished we make a big mistake," Mancini added.

Asked what he thought the key to the game had been, Mancini replied: "They wanted to draw. We wanted to win. I think that was the difference."

I thought Newcastle played similar against Wigan as we did against Chelshitee so how can he justify that except Newcastle are at home.

If City beat Nukearseole and if United lose to Swansea then City could play their youth team and we'd get a result and City get a trophy. Watch Swansea lose 6-0. Assuming we and Bolton finish on the same points.

We need to show some fight in the last match. All eyes will be on the match that possibly wins City the title. Unfortunately this will be the game a lot of people remember for years to come. I just hope we play better than we did against Chelsea.

Another headline.

Manchester City clinch first title since 1968 when they defeat QPR 10-0. Ferguson accuses QPR of not trying when they play substitute keeper SWP. ;D

All we need to do is play SWP ::)

They way we lay down and got mauled by Chelsea was a disgrace. I was not impressed at the end of the game when our man in a suit manager was shaking hands with some of the Chelsea players sitting to the side of the tunnel. Hughes looked totally unconcerned .He is giving me the impression he considers himself to be a top 6 manager and he has lowered himself to come to our club.

We know that the new England manager is a yes man in a suit. And Hughes is mr. mercenary as he is only at QPR for the money.
At least Warnock had a connection and charisma with the fans and Warnock seemed to care which is something the management and player we currently have completely lack.

Watched the match on and off last night and noticed a few things. I am probably primed by various previous posts and conspiracy theories about top 6 teams getting the decisions especially when compared to a 'non entity' team - like us. Once you start noticing things though they get blown out of proportion. I wondered when Joe Hart had a corner decision given against him and punched the ball away in disgust what would have happened to our team (Adel). I wondered when Sir Alex leapt up and harangued the referee who then dutifully produced a yellow card what would have happened to say, Shaun Derry. I wondered how they got to 5 mins extra time. All through the match I saw events unfold where we have been penalised in past matches for similar things. The commentators said it was a 'derby' match so you should expect that. Then I thought that I was just being negative and imagining things and if I carried on like that I would go to sleep and wake up to find us in danger of relegation because of the goals that had not been awarded and sending offs that shouldnt have been (besides the ones that should have been). Then I just thought bol**x and opened another can of Stella.

I'm going to go against the grain here. I say Hughesy and our boys are so humiliated by what happened on Sunday that they will make sure that never happens again. The players, the manager and coaches are going to be working extra hard to prove ourselves. There is going to be a team unity like never before. Everyone is expecting us to lose against City and lose big. Everyone is expecting that if City beat Newcastle that they will win the title. Well our boys are going to surprise everyone. We are going to get 3 points against Stoke and we're going to get 3 points against the mighty City. Yeah folks that's how it's going to go down. Remember what the superckat said. miaaaooowwww Baabbbyyyyy!!!
