I thought we were bad, at least we had 7 shots on target, they had none, not even a miss.

I think relegation safety goes through Stoke. We need 3 pts from them next week and for them to not lose to Bolton at home on the final day and we should just safe

If we do win, I shall almost certainly have a double (or four).

Blackburn yes they are worse than us and Bolton aint.... I think Bolton are our main threat here. blackburn are beyond help (a bit like us) but Bolton seem to have a bit more fight about them

If Bolton lose to Spurs on Wednesday, and then again to West Brom at the weekend whilst we beat Stoke (i.e. best-case scenario) then it will still be a nervy finish - GD could be as little as +8 in our favour, so if they somehow rallied on the final day of the season and beat Stoke convincingly whilst we got thrashed at City (certainly not an impossibility given today's performance) then they could just squeak it and send us down.

Having said that, I don't really have any idea because all the permutations are too complex and make my head hurt. If I had to bet my life savings either way I'd still go for us surviving, albeit by the skin of our teeth.

Random postscript: FA have approached Hodgson for the England job?!

TBH the best thing we can hope for is that Spurs do over Bolton and Villa don't win another game.

How do we go above Villa by beating Stoke Rory if we beat Stoke we are miles behind Villa GD now , we cant catch Villa now , unless we get a point at City and thats probably not going to happen .

Realistic chance is setting Bolton 4 points to overtake us and that will have gone if Bolton beat Spurs .
This game has to be a Spurs win , not even a draw ,as if its a draw Bolton need 1 win from 2 and it would condemn us.

I'm hoping Spurs really turn it on Weds , well overdue for an away win , that win at Carrow rd back in December must be hurting them.
