Wow do we do things the hard way or wot! We attack them like tigers, get a goal and then sit back. Spurs are really not at their best at the moment and we should have really gone for their throat but never mind we did it and got the points.
The way things have gone this season a yellow card should mean substitution, both Zamorra and Tarrabt should have been replaced. I dont know the game plan but Zamorra seems to be playing purely as a hold up guy with very little inclination to scoring.
If it means we stay up, fine, seems Cisse may only be used if we really need to score.
And another thing was my Tele deceiving me or has Paddy been going to weightwatchers lately?

I think if Bobby was to come off then Helga would have had to come on!!! Loan striker not a role for Cisse he's too direct...........I guess Sparky could have reverted to 4-4-2.............but doesn't matter now!!! We won & with 10 men!!!!.............Nice that the sending off was actually 10 mins from the end of the game instead of 10 mins into the game!!!

We won, spanishal.
At this stage of the season the points are all that matter. And these were 3 vital 3 points.
Wigan fans suddenly are not so cocky tonight because now they have their penultimate game against a Blackburn side who will still be in with a shot of survival after their result today. I think we can get something out of Chelsea next weekend and beat Stoke here at the Loft.
Criticize at the end of the season. Right now though, its all about the points.

That wigan game will be a good one. At the moment I would want wigan to win it to keep blackburn below us. I think bolton are in a bit of a mess and with our gd and points diff they will be hard put to take us. I think its blackburn and bolton to go down with wolves.

But have you seen boltons fixtures, plus the fact they have 2 games in hand?? They play 2 of the bottom 3, i cant see how they can possibly go down :S I think it'll be between us and wigan, so we need to match wigan point for point till the end now, blackburn and wigan to go down with wolves , us to survive on GD

I know what you mean and have considered that scenario myself. I dont think though that Bolton have it in them. Villa are still scared and they play Bolton Tuesday (?). If that was a dead rubber I would go with you but its not so I am thinking Villa will win. Bolton then have 1 game in hand and a trip to Sunderland at the weekend. I cant see them winning that either. They will then still be on 30 points and played 35 games and we have a better difference. A few weeks ago if I had been asked how many points we would have from the Liverpool, Arsenal, Swansea and Spurs matches I'd have said 1 maybe 3, but not 12. Next week will give us a much clearer view.

Boltons fixtures may not mean that much.
They struggle against teams above them in the league and every game they have left is against teams above them as, last I looked, Villa, Sunderland, Spurs, West Brom and Stoke are all above Bolton in the table.
Our win tonight is massive for us because it now makes the next 4 games for Spurs MUST WIN affairs if they want to get the 4th Champions League spot. They will particularly now target their next 2 games as games they must get 6 points from. Those 2 games are home to Blackburn and away to Bolton.
By beating them tonight we have basically now put the onus on Spurs to beat those 2 teams, which in turn massively does us a favour.
Do not underestimate the importance of those 3 points tonight. I think this is the result that saves us at the end of the season.

Just refreshed myself of the fixtures. Bolton have got Villa, Sunderland, Spurs, West Brom and Stoke. None are bottom three. Its Wigan with two of the three - wolves and blackburn.

i have never been more certain than i am now that we are
staying up.
this was the one we needed.
the teams below us ae in massive trouble with in my opinion
absolutely horrible matches to come i dont think they will do it.

It will be touch and go if we stay up or not If we pick up 3 points from our last 3 games that might not be enough so we may need something from one of our away games which will be very tough so we still have it all to do

Like Nomar says , a wins a win they dont have to be pretty , how many times Al have we played the pretty stuff but end with zilch from a game . Quite a few teams we have totally outplayed teams and come away with nothing or a point . Hughes had a game plan , brave decision to just stick Zamora but credit where credits due .
I dont care how the points come but there points in the bag thats the main thing .

What will interest me, If we survive this season and stay up, Hughes and the club in general will be able to rebuild, reshape and remove deadwood. It interests me that as we are allegedly under no financial pressure etc, is how weget a team capable next season. I believe we have the basis for an excellent squad already, it just needs some fine tuning and of course some tactical ideas for both home and away games. Which Hughes is trying to implement with the current squad.
The future if we can survive this season would be looking a lot more positive than this time last season.

Stay up and next season will be much more positve. Seen threads on other boards asking whether this is our worst season ever!! Don't understand that at all. Clearly don't understand what it means to be an R's fan!! Trust in Hughes and we might even have a cup run next season!!

Our worst season was going down to Div 1 in my own history of QPR support.

If this is supposed to be QPR's worst ever season then many fans have very short memories. Granted this club has shot itself in the foot so many this season that if we do go down the club will have nobody but itself to blame (bad luck and poor refs notwithstanding).
However even if we do go down it will still bear no resemblence to what I call the season of hell in 2000/01 - now that was a nightmare season where getting relegated to Div 3 was the least of the problems.
