QPR forward looking to repay the club against Spurs and Man City
Sunday, April 15, 2012 Djibril Cisse is looking to make amends for his two red cards
QPR striker Djibril Cisse is keen to repay the club when he returns from his four game ban against Tottenham.
The Frenchman has been sent off twice in five appearances since joining the club in January is looking to make amends.
I feel bad that I have let people down for being sent off twice, Cisse said.
The first time I was angry because I was tackled badly. I have been hurt before in my career through tackles like that.
We have got a really tough run-in to the end of the season, but I would actually prefer this. There are big, massive games. We want to win so much.
I will be back for Tottenham and we then go to Manchester City, which will be hard, but you cant rule us out of winning that one.
Cisse has scored three goals in his five appearances, all coming in games where he wasnt dismissed.

the loss yesterday was massively down to him imo. zamora isnt a natural goalscorer, cisse is. he would of put away at least of them chances.

Zamora has done as well as could have been expected in the circumstances, even better in the Arsenal game when he was doing an impossible job & did it brilliantly.
The firs sending off was stupid, the second sending off was unforgiveable although I'm sure he knows this.
We will just have to wait & see, I do believe he is a genuinely devastating player, if he keeps us up then great he will be a QPR hero & we will all be over the moon, but if we go down, then its a case of thank you for your "contribution" & goodbye.

thank you for no cotribution you mean. he was brought to score the goals to save us, not sit out three quarters of the remaining games due to his terrible and infrogivable lack of dicipline.

It's terrible but I even if he does well my heart will be in my mouth waiting for him to lose the cool again. Like klr says, that second sending off was unforgiveable and he would want to keep us up singlehandedly before I could warm to him at all.

He'd have to go if we went down, not that he'd be short of suitors, he's a great player, but spending 7 games out through his own idiocy ?!
No mate, see you later.

He said exactly the same last time he was sent off! Last time he was sent off, then missed three games and scored in the next two, before being sent off again. Hopefully, this time he scores in the last three games following his dismissal!

Cisse has earned more red cards than Man Utd.
On a side note, QPR player have a brief intro which has the commentator screaming "Cisse does it again!". I wish they'd remove it as it's bloody annoying. Cisse cost us 3 points against Wolves for his stupidity and not to mention being out for 7 games. He's got 4 games to redeem himself.

Cissé has already said he'll stay if we go down.
If he does stay then I've no doubt he would rip the Championship apart every week.
Anyway, what's done is done and none of us can change it now. Looking at what Drogba did to Spurs defence today, Cissé who is younger and faster can cause Spurs an awful lot of problems with his pace, movement and finishing.
The result today was actually the result I wanted. Chelsea will now have one eye on the cup and the other on the UCL semi with Barca. The manner and margin of defeat will hopefully have a huge psychological blow on Spurs and maybe they'll still be deflated when we play them.
Once Chelsea went 3-1 up Spurs heads went and you could tell they just wanted the game to end. The 5 minutes of injury time they played just made matters worse for Spurs. They have been slipping a bit for a few weeks now. I hope this game has ended their season now and they come out deflated and demotivated against us.

I like him alot as a Player or what he can do on a pitch but i suppose part of being a player is temperament , Cisses has let himself and the Club down . He has 4 games (hopefully) to get us out this mess and he needs to put in a bit of extra effort and maybe score us a winner to give us 3 points.
I have no doubt if he stayed with us he would get us pots of goals in either division.

Your first comment was wrong, No referee worth his salt would ever give a Man U player a RED card, especially at Old Trafford. Heaven forbid!
I like cisse but his cards are making him appear like Fitz Hall, a couple of games on the field and then a few off it!

First sending off... OK, we maybe can understand his reaction. Second time sent off? Nah. Four games left and providing he stays on the pitch I'd rather see him getting a goal scoring opportunity than Zamora Zzzz... Zzzz... Zzzz

Even if Cisse plays and scores - that may not be enough....And in no way negates his utter idiocy and what he may have done to us.

Sitting 7 games out suspended and 2 x 45 minute halfs off the pitch cost us 3 points at Wolves without doubt . Those 3 points might yet send us down but you cant blame relegation on to Cisse alone many other factors. Missing 8 games from 16 though has cost us big time , if he stays though his goals will help up get back up in 1-2 years .

Wherevere we find ourselves next season, Cisse will score a load of goals for us!
And yes he has cost us a few points from his sendings off but there are lots of other reasons/poor performances/shooting oursleves in the foot that have left us in this relegation battle.
And in his few games with us he has contributed more to the team than SWP has in the whole season!

Wonder if Hughes could have done it again, whether he'd have signed someone else for that money. Someone who actually would have played all those games....
Yes. There are a score why we may go down.
But if we'd actually had another striker on the field, in the various games since Cisse joined us...who's to say...
One of those impossibles...
No question Cisse is great...
Wonder if any bookie is giving odds on Cisse getting another Red before the end of the season!

In two minds about it as the importance put on Cisse is not necessarily in his own hands. Our set up changes completely when he's not playing - you can see from the games he doesn't start (and noticeably at West Brom) that Hughes clearly doesn't trust any of our other strikers to perform the "speedy" role up front alongside Zamora's hold-up role. That's Hughes' decision, not his. Saying that, it's a pretty rational decision - and I'd find it unbelievable to think that he wasn't briefed on this when he signed up. He and Zamora were very clearly bought to be a partnership - Cisse must know that, and thus must know that any suspension disrupts the "optimal" way his manager sees us as playing. I agree that he would have buried at least one of the opportunities that fell to Zamora at West Brom (saying that, whilst acknowledging Zamora's a holding player, not hitting the target with time and space within the 18 yard box is pretty criminal for any professional striker).
But I still find it hard to dislike him though because he's just so exciting when he plays. His turn of pace is ridiculous. Always think it's a bit over the top for people to "hate" a player for something like this. I'm pissed off, but yeah. All the same - he was brought in with the explicit remit to get goals and he's not done that down to his own stupidity. If he delivers the goods in the last few games and we end up staying up, I know I'd probably forget the red cards ever happened...
