How i hope it pans out but very worried
« Thread Started on Apr 14, 2012, 6:24pm »

This is what i think might happen

Wolves Down

QPR - 4 games
Spurs(H) win
Chelsea (A) loss
Stoke(H) win
Man City (A) loss End up 37pts good GD

WIGAN -5 games
Arsenal(A) loss
Fulham(A) loss
Newcastle (H) loss
Blackburn (A) win
Wolves(H) Win End up on 37 worse GD

Blackburn - 4 games.
Norwich (H) win
Spurs (A) loss
Wigan (H) loss
Chelsea (H) loss 31 points

Bolton - 6 games
Swansea(H) win
Villa (A) draw
Sunderland (A) loss
Spurs (H) draw
WBA (H) win
Stoke(A) loss End up 37 worse GD

If Blackburn who have now lost 5 consecutive games fail to beat Norwich and lose at Spurs , we might need them to beat Wigan OR at least the draw.

Still feeling apart from getting two home wins the one game thats going to make a difference to us is the Blackburn v Wigan game .

sadly I think wigan will beat both fulham and newcastle with some ease, i even worry about them getting something from arsenal. I think we are down after today :(

I'm worried about Wigan getting a point at Arsenal as well, they have been playing well, really well for at least two months now.

Positives; very possible that our goal difference could keep us up on the last day unless we lose ten nil at Man City.

Just a point today would have seen me / all of us in a great mood, but I dont know about anyone else, I feel like sh!t.

Wolves and Blackburn are gone now in my opinion..

Its one of us, Wigan and Bolton to fill out the final place. Did ourselves no favours after today.

If we go then so be it. Whoever goes down this season will thoroughly deserve it because in most other seasons all 5 of us would have already been dead and buried. That any of us still have some hope of survival is incredible in itself.

Agree, whoever goes down will deserve to go down and then some.

Out of all the teams Wigan definately dont deserve to go down IMO

I don't get why suddenly there is a huge hype around Wigan, yes they beat Man Utd but that was only because Utd were denied two blatant penalties. Blackburn beat Utd at Old Trafford but that doesn't make them any more likely to stay up does it??

They won't ease past Fulham or Newcastle. Clint Dempsey is on form and Wigan's defence is poor. Newcastle are the on form team in the Prem and Cisse + Ben Arfa will rip them to peices. Wouldn't be surprised if Van Persie scored 2 or 3 against them on Monday.

Lets just hope bolton have a really poor finish to the season, theyve not played in a while I dont know if thats good or bad for them but I think of them or wigan theres more chance of them going down...hopefully they'll finish worse than us now.

Wigan have been playing with fight and spirit. Plus they have been pass masters at getting out of relegation trouble.

I agree with you though that they could quite easily lose the next 3 games.

It isn't over at all but not picking up at least a point today has given Bolton a real fillip with games in hand over us now.

At least we are not in Wolves or Blackburn's shoes so there's that to be grateful for.

But all of us are down the bottom for a reason. We have all shown over 32+ games that we cannot win a lot of games and none of us can seem to piece a winning spell of games together.

That fact may yet save us.

Must admit , feel flatter tonight than the Sunderland Loss. really low tonight , yet like KLR said a point and i could have taken that .
Starting to think like Nomar , with Blackburn on 5 straight losses and two of there games at Chelsea and Spurs think they will be 19th now , even Norwich will be hurting today and pumped up next week at Blackburn.

Starting to see it as the 3 way battle between us and the other two ,bolton still have the easiest teams left , so hope wigan lose at Arsenal , lose at Fulham and lose at Home to Newcastle , if they only get 1 point from these 3 , think we can do it , but oppurtunity thrown away.

We showed fight as well against Swansea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Spurs at Home is our final chance if we lose at Home to Spurs we are down yes , a win will probably keep us up and a point gives us a fighting chance .

Really is last chance Saloon next Saturday and we will know exactly what everyone else has done Blackburn Bolton and Wigan all kick off at 3,00 pm we will open up live chat earlier next saturday before 3pm and roll right through until after QPRs game .

Gotta try and get a point or 3 off spurs, and I think it's possible. They haven't looked up for much of late. Nothing is over yet.

I can also assure you that if you go on Bolton fans forums a lot of them still can't see Bolton winning another game.

Probably only Wigan fans think they will stay up.

Like I said there's a reason all 5 of us are where we are. And considering none of us are averaging a point a game I can't see anyone getting more than 37 points.

Interestingly, The Sun ran a predictor yesterday and had Wolves, Blackburn and Wigan going down with us and Bolton staying up.

That included us losing to West Brom. They think 35 points and a better goal difference will keep us up. That seems fairly realistic appraisal of the situation.

But if we do go down it will be because we deserved it.

My guess is that its going to be more about who losses games by the lowest margin rather than who wins them now.

When i look at Boltons fixtures i cant help think they will get more than 6 points from 6 games which is where the 35 pts your thinking of .
I see Bolton and Wigan getting less or 37 pts thats why i feel we need these 2 home wins , know alot more by the time we kick off , Wigan will have played at Arsenal and Fulham will they still be on 31 or 34 ?
Blackburn at home to Norwich , still on 28 or level with us ?
Bolton will still have 1 game in hand of us , hopefully still 2 pts behind us , Swansea at home , well Swansea are not a good away team?

Harls, it can all change very quickly.

Wigan, for all their fans sudden cockiness that they have metamorphosed into Barcelona, still have 3 tough games up next and could easily take nothing from them (Arsenal, Fulham and Newcastle). That would leave them going into the last 2 games still on 31 points.

They'll probably be playing Blackburn and Wolves teams who are already down and ready to play the role of spoilers by sending down someone else with them. Wolves will have already gone and I can see them playing that game with no pressure on them at all.

Bolton have conceded 65 goals already this season and have actually lost already to all the remaining teams on their schedule, I believe.

It really isn't as clear cut as you think it is and, like I keep saying, the teams down there are down there for a reason.

If we go down I will have no complaints though because really with the players we have and in our position we should be picking up at least a point on the road against the likes of Sunderland and West Brom.

Thats pretty much how I see it as well. Man U have to beat Villa today and Villa will still be uncomfortable when they come to play Bolton so that wont be as easy a game. The one that worries me is Bolton v Swansea. 2 draws wont be any good against our goal difference (unless Macs score prediction against spuds comes to pass {Mac it will all be your fault}) so as Nomar says, it ain't over yet.

I know that the Man City game looks like the biggest foregone conclusion, BUT, it might not work out that way! By that last game the way things are at the moment Man U will have wrapped up the title and it will be a dead rubber for City. With the players they have in there, who are very capable of not putting in a full shift when its important, they may just see it as an afternoon jaunt and if we can get there faces..........Mind, it could just as easy free them up to score 8.

I'm sorry, I've tried to remain optimistic but I feel far too worried now. Alot of people think we may beat Spurs, I for one don't see that as a given. I am positive we will give them a good game but really, all they have to do is hit their form again and we'll probably leave with nothing. They are a good side even when not playing their best. I can't see us getting anything at Chelsea or Man City either. And Stoke, you think yeah three points, but this is QPR, no guarantee!
