ALEX McLEISH is ready to make a £2million bid for Bolton defender Danny Shittu this summer.

Birmingham boss McLeish wants to bring Nigerian international Shittu to St Andrews even if he fails in his promotion mission.

Shittu, 28, has struggled to hold down a place at Bolton and Gary Megson will allow him to leave at the end of the season.

A game I was watching this season, can't remember which. No idea where he is from but he wnet up in my estimation during that very game.
