If they beat Sunderland tonight and go 6 points clear of us ...

Do we want Blackburn to win again at Bolton Saturday to make it a 4 horse race ?

if they win tonight against sunderlands reserves, which i think they will, then a win against bolton is a must.
if they lose or draw tonight, then a draw against bolton to keep them amongst it as well.
more down there the merrier.

Bolton is our main rival from now on. Blackburn are too experienced in the topflight to go down. They have got Yakubu,Gamst Pedersen and Hoilett who I regard as "winners", in a pretty much mediocre team.
Bolton is also an experienced side, but compared to Blackburn they lack vital quality in their team.
Anyway,Just my take at it! [image] [image] [image]

Sunderland have been awful tonight.

If they play like that again on Saturday we should beat them. However, I expect they will be world beaters again this weekend when we turn up.

This was the easiest 3 points Blackburn will ever pick up.

A nice thought. But just can't see it. Not enjoying this season at all. Can't wait for it to be over.

For the people that think we have a glimmer has to be 4 points from the next two.

If Blackburn win at Bolton and we only pick up a point in our next two we would be 8 behind with 8 games left 5 against the top 5 in the league , forget it .

Bolton will probably turn Blackburn over , we might lose both , 5 and 6 points behind the pair with Arsenal and Man U means we are gone .

See how quickly it all happens now , thats why we needed the 5-6 point cushion over them before we played Liverpool .

We all knew this only too well, Harlow.

The players on the other hand played with no sense of urgency at all during that spell. Now beginning to sink in when they see the remaining fixtures and watch Blackburn suddenly pull away.

if we think we are down already why bemoan the fact that teams are picking up points?

Yep Rory and Gramps we new it was coming didnt we .

It was on the cards , not just with our crazy run , but the fact they all play each other means they pick up points .
Saturday BOLTON V BLACKBURN they pick up points.
Next Saturday WOLVES V BOLTON they pick up points and we still have BLACKBURN V WOLVES AND WOLVES V WIGAN yet.

Its been a rough year , move on we can win the Championship or come 2nd , it wont be easy , not sure if we want that poison Barton in our team disrupting again otherwise we will end up mid table at this rate .

But we have to be confident and we must try to get back up in 2 seasons its very achievable if we keep our core .
Its sad but you must admit when it sinks in it does release a big weight off your shoulders , thats how i felt at the beginning of the month anyway .

After rushing him back to quickly Wolves lost there best midfielder for a few more games after losing Frimpong , you have to think they will succumb like us and Wigan.

i thought if i just except relegation it will all be better, especially after stating that its not the end of the world on some threads.

but a darkness has fallen over me and i can't even watch, read or listen to any other game in the prem.

i will go to liverpool game tomorrow not watching the game but looking up at the sky and wishing it was blue.

the thought of next season in the champs fills me with dread, i hate this period in our time, even after last season achievements, 16 years has been mugged off me. and those clowns on our propaganda department don't give a F***.

i am down and out.

I have to go out tomorrow and I genuinely am scared to even look at the scores whilst I am out.

Going to check if MOTD is one tomorrow night and if it is I will watch it then and not know the result.

Tonight's result has really made our task incredibly harder now.

There is still hope......................just.

I think now everyone knows in this league that a draw is really not that much better than a defeat,so all these really good draws that we achieved were lost points really in the grand scheme of things.
We have to look at those games where we did not turn for the first half and somebody has to take accountability for that.
As fans i think our expectation levels our to high. The game has moved on by miles since we were last in the top flight and we are well down the pecking order now.As you can see with Norwich and Swansea they did things in a more transitional way.As a result they are in good position for next season.
Thinking back to last year and Steve Claridge much to the disgust of myself and some other fans did not seem to rate us that much and implied we were a one trick pony(with AT),could he have spotted something that we were too starstruck to see?
WE ARE NOT DOWN YET!!!!
However these blokes have got to now play out of their skin AND rely on other results to go our way, in the end we have no one to blame but ourselves.

cheers,

Jay

I'm going to enjoy tomorrow and every other game this season.

I have a weird feeling that we won't go up next season, it will be the season after.

Maybe keeping your manager - as both Bolton and Blackburn have done - is not such a dumb idea.

And axing your manager as QPR and Wolves both did - is not such a smart idea!
