Messi is unreal but I still think Ronaldo is better.

Ok feck that, Messi is better. Just scored his fifth of the game, first player to ever do so in the Champions League and the first time he has ever done so.

Beginning to dislike them , I hope they don't win it. Will take some stopping though.

Boring Harlem globetrotters of the football world.

Certainly not boring, not stuck up their own ar$e and very deserving of the acolades they get.

They are in a league similar to the SPL with only two or three good sides, but they match and beat the best in Europe.

I do find the passing quite boring, especially when they do it round the defence and midfield. Madrid are much more fast paced and more exciting.

Of course if you want to watch the most entertaining side in Europe then look no further than Borussia Dortmund!!

Only Garranca, Eusebio, Pele, and George Goddard can be mentioned in the same breath. Perhaps Romario.

Messi is, of course, brilliant as an individual, but wouldn't you say Barcelona are the all time best club team? Not for the first time their passing and movement left me gasping last night.

Best football team of alltime for me was the great Milan team of the late 80's / early 90's; Desailly, Riijkard, Van Basten, Baresi, Maldini, Costacurta, etc etc etc.

I think they would beat this Barcelona team, that's just a personal opinion, you have to say Messi's chip with his wrong foot last night was sheer footballing genius.

Would still take Maradona over Messi, but its becoming a real debate!

Maradona dominated every team he was in, and pretty much won Argentina the World Cup on his own, but personally, I can never forgive the 'hand of God,' Cheating, pure and simple.

Maradona is still better to me as well, winning the title single handedly with Napoli is like winning the Prem now with Aston Villa.

I sort of agree but have a different view. Two things still rankle with me.

1. How the hell did he beat Shilton to that ball even with his hand that was only just above his head anyway? Why didn't Shilton simply flatten him?

2. Why didn't Line Acre punch the ball in the net at the end rather than leaving it?

That may count as three! ;D

What gets me about it was, obviously it wasn't the first time anyone tried to 'kid the ref' but it sort of became alright to do it.

The result is players like Mr Drogba and hundreds of others falling over all the time.

I wonder if Irish fans mention "that goal" whenever Terry Henry's name gets mentioned.

I would guess they do.

Didn't bother me in the slightest when Bean did it at Gillingham! ;D
