Ah, he has spent millions, but whose millions, where has it come from? Is it his own money, or is it the Clubs money? Why is there contradiction in what TF tells us about the Club and its debts or lack thereof and what AB tells us about the same?
It is truly fantastic not to have Flabelstone at the Club, but that does not mean we cannot question TF, his actions and his motives. We don't want to end up like Pompey do we, they will possibly be gone within a few weeks, that could be us in a few years if we are not run properly.

We are debt free don't you know Hogan, pay attention mate, we've been told that so nothing to worry about.
Presumably, they are converting investment to shares, in line with the FFP rules, so as not to rack up loads of debt.
Pig is fuelled and ready for takeoff.

The runway is clear and there is not a cloud on the horizon.
Fernandes did say that he would ask Mittal to convert his loans into shares. He is yet to state whether or not that has happened. I hope it has or we will continue to rack up interest on those loans until they are converted and Mittal will enlarge his shareholding without having to put any more money in.
It's gone very quiet on that front and Bhattia has been very subdued compared to how he was when Bernie and Flabio were here, when he seemed far more involved.

Not sure about time, but, he was in there for the time it took me to drink three pints. He then came over to my group on his way out and had pictures taken (at which time I have to confess I let myself down completely by gushing and thanking him for all he'd done for the club)

Maude i got there about 1.45pm bud.
Apparantly TF had been in an hour earlier and 'met' the fans in there.
I don't know if anyone who met him asked him any searching questions and if they did what the reply was.

I doubt he got may if any tough questions.
And it wouldnt be the forum (if one can use that word) for such sustained questions and answers

Oh I'll buy him a drink..This is a million miles better than the Briatore era...Or the Paladini era...I "Trust" Fernandes (as much as one can trust owners!)...But certainly if he wants a serious discussion re Fan concerns re QPR, needs serious meeting, rather than this.

I think it was a brilliant move, as was sitting in the lower loft in the first half.
All helped create the splendid atmosphere and raise spirits.
My only concern is it's shades of Bhattia's friend and advisor, Mike Ashley!
Only joking Mr Fernandes and apologies for not being there to meet you. Our small group have managed to make that pub for too bleedin popular, that's for sure!

If when the company accounts are released they show no debt and he has put his own money in to finance this period then he can have on me...a pint, a curry, taxi fare home and my wife.

The INVESTORS, not the loans per se, are the burden the Club labours under. The investors can eliminate the debt at a stroke, simply by writing it off.
In that way, all the errors of judgement, all the overpaid, underperforming players, all the ineffectual revolving-door managers, all those much-heralded but invariably unprofitable 'investments', would be down to them, not the Club.
When did that ever happen, though?
Converting loans to equity doesn't make any difference at the sharp end. The seller recovers the cost of the loans and the price of his shares when he sells the Club. If the loans have been converted to shares, the cost to the buyer - and therefore the Club - is the same. Either it is the shares and the value of the loans separately, or the shares including the value of the loans.
It is the people who do these deals who cripple the Club with losses and debt. Not the financial instruments they deploy. So HOW they get money out of their dealings with QPR isn't the issue. The issue is who pays for it. The Club, or them?
Maybe the new accounts will show that they're paying for everything, the Club is in profit, the Ground is unencumbered and is the Club's property, not theirs. And everything they do is done in the name of the Club.
What usually happens is that they make the losses in the name of the Club, and the profits in their own name. I'd love to see that reversed this time. Let's hope the figures bear that interpretation.
Otherwise, the only real wonder is that we are sweet talked every time into believing that a miracle of talent, dedication and creativity (footballing and financial) is taking place. When the only marvel is how ready we are to fall for the same old patter, the same lame old PR stunts .
Let them take the hit for a change. I'll be delighted to praise them to the skies knowing that they, and not the Club, were losing money hand over fist, just so QPR wouldn't, just so we'd be in profit, and solely with a view to making the Club as viable and successful as it can be.
Then, if it all goes belly-up as it usually does, the laugh will be on them. I might even be sympathetic for their loss(es). Once I stopped laughing. Knowing our 'benefactors' got what they deserved. I mean our thanks, of course .
And the bill.
In a restaurant, if eat everything in sight, you pay. In football, speculators supposedly representing the Club swallow up everything they can get their hands on.
And the Club pays.
It is the Club that suffers. While the supporters go on and on paying the price.
