[ Edit: Another..."Year Flashback"] Interesting. Another interpretation: You could say the deal was all aranged done. Just not signed, sealed and delivered Have to go back and see exactly what Sousa said. Of course if they really want to clear this up, they'd have a Q&A with the agent to follow up on some of this. On The Official Site - STATEMENT - RE DEXTER BLACKSTOCKStatement from Eric Walters, the agent of Dexter Blackstock This statement is to clarify the situation regarding Dexter Blackstock and QPR. Dexter was unhappy at QPR for some time, as he had only started six of a possible 21 fixtures. He wasn't even on the bench for QPR's home fixture against Bristol City and seeing as he was the Club's top goalscorer, Dexter was unhappy about this situation. A few Clubs approached me for Dexter, including Nottingham Forest. I spoke with Gianni Paladini and he advised me that we needed to clear this with Paulo Sousa. Paulo came back from Portugal on March 26th at lunchtime. Dexter discussed the situation with Paulo, and he didn't say anything to Dexter about the possibility of him staying with QPR. At 4.00pm on March 26th 2009, Dexter signed the paperwork to complete his loan transfer to Nottingham Forest. Eric Walters www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~1623337,00.html

I just picked this up, too, for Vital ;-)
From what I remember of his radio interview last weekend, he did admit that Blackstock rang him but he spin was that he was "told" by Gianni Paladini that the deal had been done when he contacted Paladini after speaking to Blackstock!
Curiouser and curiouser - as Alice says in Wonderland that has become Queens Park Rangers!

Ok so maybe Sousa is lying...Or reading this, this semantics. Blackstock says "I'm off to Nott F" and Sousa doesn't object cos he thinks there's nothing to discuss. But again have to see what Sousa (and Blackstock) said...

I think this is all irrelevant - Sousa and the Board were clearly going to be going their own separate ways and sooner rather than later!
But I am pleased to see the Club trying to put out their version - I don't really care which is the "true" version of events. But it is a first for the Club to go public on such a matter as this.

Sousa said Going. Not gone.
The News of The World "A baffled Sousa said: "The players had two days off and the board told me that Blackstock was going to Forest on loan."
Sunday Times “After our match against Bristol City two weeks ago, Dexter came to see me, said he wanted to go and [sporting director] Mr [Gianni] Paladini told me there was an agreement for him to leave. It is disappointing and frustrating but I just have to accept it.”
Northampton Chronicle (Think orig from Sporting Life) Sousa was informed only by sporting director Gianni Paladini that Blackstock was joining their Coca-Cola Championship rivals last week - a decision apparently made by owner Flavio Briatore. ...- "I gave the players two days off after the Bristol City game and when I came back Mr Paladini told me he had an agreement (for Blackstock) to go on loan," said Sousa. - "It is a decision for the board and only they can answer it. I'm not frustrated, I said from the first day I have to adapt and try to do my best with the players I have."-

Now wait for the ITK unattributed leaks...
Did you know that Sousa was not really an International footballer even though it said on his "resume" where he worked?
Oh I'm sorry that wasn't Sousa. That was.... What's his name?

Also were is the sensitive & confidential information in all of this? What was put a risk by PS saying I didn't make the decision?
'It came to the Club's attention that Mr De Sousa had, without authority, divulged highly confidential and sensitive information.'

and why is the club that said they would make no further comment now making its 2nd further comment on the matter? Surely this is the subject of a potential court case.

to be honest we will have to wait and see what flav says.we cant make any real sense of this untill someone comes up with the full story ive never known any millionaire who is easily parted with his money so it just doent seem to be beleivable that briatore would demand the leading goalscorer sacked because that guarantees another season in this division but lets see what is said

And yet the scumbag is still at the club. Shocking. I'm off to Palace a little later and am expecting to see a repeat of our match at Vicarage Road this season.
The club is on it's knees and yet the board are serving up the same "buy into the dream season" BS that they have every year. Well then, I'll be more than happy to pay almost as much as a Liverpool supporter in order to get a scarf with a crap badge. You've made my heart skip a beat.
I'm tired of feeling this way about the club. A club thats not even 'my' club anymore.
