This thread From last season...
QPR visit Swansea City FC .
On Tuesday for our Boxing Day treat this season we have a tricky away tie at the Liberty Stadium .
I always thought it was nice to have a London Derby game as the Boxing Day fixture as it seemed to be perfect for the occasion but things change I guess .
Swansea have been fantastic at home in their first season in the Premiership , they have won several homes games and seem to be keeping clean sheets now at a regular occurrence.
Of course we have played Swansea recently in the Championship so we only have go back to last Boxing Day 26th December 2010 when we had that terrific 4-0 win which was our last meeting.
This is the first time we have ever met in the Top Flight / Premiership over the years we have met on 32 occasions(16 seasons) in the league going right back to the old Division Three South in 1920.
One thing that just came to light is that in all our home games, sixteen in the League and three in the Cup we have never lost at home.
The Cup meetings we have had between us are three FA Cup meetings all played at Swansea , two wins for Swansea a 4-0 win on the 18th November 2001 and on 26th January 1963 a 2-0 win .
One FA Cup victory for QPR on 31st January 1914 winning 2-1 away .
Three League Cup meetings , QPR winning all three , a 3-0 win on 24th August 2004 and prior to this a 2-0 win on the 3rd October 1978 and finally a 2-1 win on the 12th October 1966.

26th December 2010 Championship
QPR 4 Swansea City 0
Helguson penalty 2nd goal
Taarabt 4th Goal
Adel Taarabt inspired Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers out of their mini-slump and to a convincing win over Swansea City.
The Moroccan set up Jamie Mackie for an early opener, he then won a second-half penalty after Ashley Williams' foul before scoring two late stunners.
Heidar Helguson converted the spot-kick before the Taarabt show took over as he fired low under keeper Dorus de Vries.
Taarabt saved the best to last with a 25-yard shot after some show-boating.
Scott Sinclair and Craig Beattie went close for the visitors early on but the leaders opened the scoring as Taarabt started to dictate this Championship clash.
Taarabt skipped past Joe Allen and Garry Monk to set up unmarked Mackie who fired a low 20-yard shot just inside Swans keeper De Vries' right-hand post.
The QPR playmaker then committed four Swans players to allow Mackie a little time and space to smash in his ninth goal of the season just after the quarter hour mark.
But both high-flying sides were reduced to 10 men following an ugly flashpoint in the 19th minute after Alan Tate's clumsy challenge on marauding full-back Kyle Walker.
The Swansea left-back had acknowledged his cumbersome misdemeanour but the fireworks began when QPR left-back Clint Hill ran 40 yards to confront Tate.
The pair went head-to-head and their unnecessary scrap was punished by referee Phil Crossley, who sent off both Tate and Hill for violent conduct.
The Swans initially reacted better to going a man down and Allen perhaps should have at least hit the target when he was set free in the penalty box.
But the Welsh international, after controlling Kemy Agustien's stunning cross-field ball, fired his shot over from 15 yards.
Swans defender Williams also tested home keeper Paddy Kenny with a couple of long-range drives but captain fantastic Taarabt quickly reasserted his position as the star man.
And the home side should have doubled their lead from a teasing Taarabt right-wing free-kick but Helguson failed to connect inside the six-yard box with an empty Swans net at his mercy.
Taarabt twice almost conjured up a second after a succession of stepovers teed-up Kaspars Gorkss and Mackie in quick succession only for De Vries to save both.
But the mercurial midfielder did bewitch Williams after charging into the box and referee Crossley pointed to the spot after the Welsh captain's clumsy challenge - and Williams was lucky to escape a red card.
And Helguson sent De Vries the wrong way as the Icelandic international coolly slid home the resulting penalty into the corner of the net for his eighth goal of the season.
Taarabt then turned from provider to scorer as he collected Helguson's knock-down to shoot home from the left-hand channel underneath the body of De Vries.
The Dutchman would have been disappointed to concede from such an angle but the Swans keeper could do little with Taarabt's super second - his 11th goal of the season.
Taarabt nutmegged Allen before then smashing home from long-range into De Vries' right-hand corner - even though the keeper got a touch - to secure a resounding team triumph and seal a virtuoso individual performance.
Taarabt deserved his standing ovation as Rangers recovered from defeats to Watford and Leeds United with a superb win against a team with play-off aspirations.
But Swansea's biggest defeat this season mean boss Brendan Rodgers has seen his men win only one of their last six Championship matches.
