I'm filled with pride. The crowd were great today, jeering and booing whenever a City player was on the ball.

I just got an e-mail from my business partner, who is a lifelong Man. U. fan, having been born there, and had a pro try out when he was (much) younger. He knows football as a player, and now as a little league coach. He was very complimentary. He said he thought we "deserved a share of the spoils".

Take away Fulham and Bolton and we've competed in every game. But this game was our finest performance of the season despite 0 points. Now we finally have that stretch of games behind us (Chelsea-Spurs-Man City) we can get back to adding a few more points. Three points from that stretch and we only dropped one place (two if Fulham manage to shock Spurs tomorrow). Considering little over one point a game is enough to stay up, very glad with that from those three!
I very much liked the formation today. Barton more central, Ale sitting further back, Helguson supporting Bothroyd, SWP switching wings, Mackie ran his legs off.
The title of this thread is exactly what I expected to see when I logged in.

I agree, having Faurlin and Barton in his correct posiition, our control of the middle was simply magic. harassed and fought for every ball, and quickly looked for teammate in space.
Have to say Tarrbhat was not missed and also the slowness of Derry.
This was a full team effort that makes us proud to support the RRRSSS.

I felt we deserved a point but the truth is I expected a hammering at the start so I'm totally delighted with the performance. In the end the difference between the 2 teams was the quality and experience that you would expect to have on board when you go on the type of spending spree that City have gone on.
Personally I think we lost to the future league champs last night.

The crowd sounded brilliant today on the telly.Keep up that brilliant support against the Naarwiches and our other bottom half rivals and we wont go far wrong.. Thought it was brilliant when we done the city bouncing up and down thing after we got the equaliser..

I would like to add our voices to this thread. Listening to the banter as we left the ground it was apparent that we had all watched a great game and that despite not picking up any points the lads had given it their all.
There is no shame in finishing on the losing side if you feel that your team have given 100% and this was the case yesterday. It's days like this and the Chelsea game, that for all the talk of high ticket prices you wouldn't want to miss for the world.
If we can replicate this performance against lower teams, we will soon start to put more points on the board.
Come on you R's.

The way QPR took the game to Man City, the stats speak for themselves.
Possession QPR 52% Man. City 48%.
Attemps on target. " 9. " " 8.
Attempts off target. " 9 " " 8.
Corners. " 3 " " 1.
Fouls. " 5 " " 14.
Well done lads.

Proud as punch tinged with a wee bit of frustration of the fact we deserved more out of that game than City. Fair play to them 3 absolutely clinical finishes is why you pay £40m for players.
As mentioned above if we can perform to those levels on a more regular basis we will smash teams this season.

Proud as punch! Won every stat, except the main one. Silly errors for the goals but never mind.
Stand out performance of the season!

Was that really a Rangers crowd yesterday?
A standing ovation after a defeat?
I remember many a day that Rangers were booed off for only managing to draw at home!
That performance is right up there amongst the best I have ever seen from Queens Park Rangers. Am still feeling a touch disappointed (who would have thought that possible from losing to City) but so PROUD of my team.
On a different note, the bloke who sits behind me had his son as a mascot yesterday. I was shocked to hear that this costs nothing (all members of Junior R's & picked at random by the club) & that even the official photos etc. are free to the family.
Yet another reason to be proud of being Queens Park Rangers.
