As I was saying! Lita gets 4. QPR crash 5-0 QPR Official Site - IN RESERVE: READING 5, QPR 0Posted on: Wed 08 Apr 2009 Leroy Lita bagged four goals, as an inexperienced QPR second string succumbed to a heavy 5-0 defeat against Totesport.com Combination League table-toppers Reading. The Royals dominated for long spells at Aldershot Town's Recreation Ground, and although the final scoreline flattered them somewhat, the hosts were worthy winners. In an even opening, Angelo Balanta proved to be Rangers' liveliest attacking threat, twice going close early on. The teenager fired wide from range, before bringing out the best in host custodian Alex McCarthy, who dived full stretch to keep out the forwards' strike from the edge of the box. At the other end, Daniel Harding's free-kick briefly threatened, with the ball eventually flying over Elvis Putnins' bar. Undeterred, the Royals' breakthrough arrived five minute before the break. A mix-up at the heart of the R's rearguard allowed Lita the time and space to round Putnins and slot home from an acute angle. Player / Coach Gareth Ainsworth rang the changes at the break, withdrawing Michael Wright and First Team duo Matteo Alberti and Angelo Balanta. Buoyed by seeing two of the R's most experienced players leave the pitch, Reading took full advantage at the start of the second half, with Jem Karacan doubling the hosts' lead with a fine strike from 15 yards. Thereafter, Lita's class shone through. The former England Under-21 ace made it three soon after, before bagging his hat-trick goal with a weak strike that squirmed under Putnins. Ainsworth and Josh Parker both went close to bagging a consolation, but it was Reading - and that man Lita - who finished in the ascendancy, with the striker making it five with a powerful eight yard strike that left Putnins with absolutely no chance. QPR Reserves: Putnins, Wright (Waters 46), Olley, Oastler, Tabor, Ainsworth, Davenport, Alberti (Perring 46), Rose, Balanta (Parker 46), German. Subs: Bulmer, Ehmer. www.qpr.co.uk/page/ReserveNews/0,,10373~1620663,00.html
