QPR Official Site R'S SUPPORT POPPY APPEAL Posted on: Wed 02 Nov 2011 QPR supporters will once again be able to bid for signed, limited edition home shirts in an auction as part of the Club's support for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The shirts, which will bear a Poppy in support of the popular annual appeal, will be worn in Saturday's Barclays Premier League fixture against Manchester City. The Royal British Legion celebrates its 90th anniversary this year and is aiming to raise £40million during this year's Poppy Appeal for the charity's vital work supporting serving and ex-Service personnel and their families. The players' shirts for the game will display an embroidered poppy, the symbol of the Legion. It originates from the poppy fields of Flanders, the scene of some of the most tragic battles in World War One, and will be on the players' chests. After the game, the special shirts will be donated to The British Legion's Poppy Appeal and auctioned online to raise money for the important cause. If you would like to make a bid for one of the shirts, safe in the knowledge the money will all go towards helping ex-servicemen and women, search on eBay for 'QPR FC shirt auction - 2011 Poppy Appeal.' www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2500669,00.html

Bump...I looked...I found last year (and the list of buyers!) But I still don't find the 2011 QPR Poppy shirts. Now that may well be my inability to find. Or maybe not

Preferred it when they auctioned the shirts on QPR's site, don't like ebay and got stitched last year. I've bid on three shirts and each bid was immediately outbid, got on my wick, just like last year so given up at the mo.

There's not much point bidding till the end anyway. And then you just have not to be carried away in a bidding frenzy!
