How about trimming bills and you opt for the one without football experience who the fans know nought about.
Lob in an alleged indiscretion and you can sack someone rather than put them on gardening leave.
Hence, au revoir.
Sources say, and not just the usual one(s) before I get accused. That this had nothing at all to do with Sousa or his situation etc...nothing whatsoever.

If it's finances, couldnt they wait one month, till end of season - or at least give the man a figleaf? And if finances are such a problem that doesn't augur well.

Meeting today between all the key players. Ideal time to do it from their point of view. Something once said to me once was, in business, hire slowly and fire quickly. As for finances. I get bored of telling people we took out a second mortgage on the ground after dowie was sacked....cash flow is obviously an issue

I guess it the choice of statement "Queens Park Rangers Football Club can confirm Bruno Oliveira has had his contract terminated with immediate effect." Now look at the equally shortlived Flowers statement;
"Assistant Manager Tim Flowers has left Queens Park Rangers Football Club with immediate effect. The 41 year-old arrived at Rangers in the summer as part of former boss Iain Dowie's new-look backroom staff. However, following Dowie's dismissal and the subsequent arrival of Paulo Sousa as First Team Coach, Flowers has left the Club. We would like to place on the record our thanks to Tim and wish him every success for the future."
The tone is very different and perhaps implies a less amicable split.

Paladinium hated his guts, told Flav send him into exile. Oliveira hated Paaldins guts got into a fight and was told to vamoose. Oliveira said I resign. Palad said dont resign your sacked. Sousa wanted Oliveira to have a bigger role, They said no. He said then let him go or Im gone. Oliveira took heat by screaming about Dexter and the Italians said, nobody screams at the Godfather who said we have further plans for him. Flav had a Dowie deja vu and flushed him. Paladin said Im gointo get rid of Sousa. NO NO take me out instead shielding his friend. Oliveira became homesick and was set upon by chelscum goons and said send me home. But most leikely someone had to go beacause of the noise about Blackstock, and might be interpreted as Olveiras idea.

I don't know what. In fairness it could be something simple they used? If you went through half of peoples emails at work or checked their internet time you could fire them for gross misconduct probably! I've heard from too many people that it was cost cutting and he was the obvious choice vs. Ainsworth on every level you can imagine. Football experience, PR for the club etc etc

For comparison, De Canio:
"Queens Park Rangers Football Club have parted company with First Team Coach Luigi De Canio by mutual consent with immediate effect.
The Club would like to place on the record its thanks to Luigi for his contribution to QPR and wish him all the best for a successful future.
Mr De Canio also wanted to express his gratitude for the opportunity to manage Queens Park Rangers and also for the fantastic experience he had during his time in England.
The Club will be making no further comment at this stage."
You have the "on the record thanks" which means you go on good terms but the "no further comment" line perhaps that there is a sensitive issue we don't want to discuss.
Though Dowie got no thanks either;
"The Board of Queens Park Rangers Football Club has given notice to terminate the contract of Manager Iain Dowie with immediate effect.
Dowie, who took over the reins at Loftus Road in the summer, oversaw 15 matches in charge in all competitions and leaves the R's in ninth place in the Coca Cola Championship.
Player / Coach Gareth Ainsworth has been appointed Caretaker Manager on a temporary basis and will take charge of First Team affairs until further notice.
The Club will be making no further comment at this stage."
so I'm clearing talking out my arse

But, if it was between him and gaz i think i'd rather gaz stayed He can't be on a huge amount though can he, like the Maguire release/loan how much will it really save if its a cost cutting exercise....why not Ali Russell he's on £150-200K I suspect and singularly failed to bring in the big corporate sponsorship...C Club empty & advertising boards blank.

ali russell is in that wage bracket. He seems untouchable though. I dont even know what agag does considering russell reports straight to Flavio? Lets face it, he didnt do to well at Hearts and, like you say, has failed to sell corporate sponsorship, seats, c-club, the official magazine etc etc.
One of his earlier ideas was us playing at Wembley permanently!
All I hope is that when STs are at a massive massive low that he gets brought to account. Imagine what his wages could do to aid other parts of the club?
Oh and he is being accused of swearing at fans outside the pub...fans I trust and have no reason to feel are telling porkies

Any chance he could have been gotten rid of to make way for someone more experienced - coz let's face it, like Ainsworth as we all do, he's hardly Mr Experience when it comes to coaching. (Has he got his coaching quals yet or is he still working on them?)
I wonder if they are going to go for a similar set-up to what Newcastle have just put in place - not that we'd have Dowie back as 2nd-in-command. But I think you know wot I mean.
Anyway, it's just a thought

That also might depend on whether we're having financial issues, and can afford it

Are we really having financial issues - with the financial backing we've got?
Or is it that FB wants to pave the way for the excuses come 01 September '09 - when we haven't "splashed the cash" yet again?
(Again - just another little thought . . .!)
