I was thinking Robbie Earle but I don't think it is him. Certainly not Gregory Goodridge - although I still remeber that goal he scored at Sheff Wed in the season that we fell out the Premiership.

Frank Gray, John McGovern (captain), Kenny Burns & John Robertson (winning goalscorer).
A fifth Scot, John O'Hare, was a used substitute.
Archie Gemmil was dropped by Clough for the 1979 Final and joined Birmingham City shortly afterwards.

Got to be a cup competition, after all, what what you put your tea in? Given the name it should be China and India for the perfect blend. neither were really footballing nations then were they, hardly are now really!
Maybe it was a tea and coffee battle, Argentina and Brazil?
From my travels, I would suggest Lipton's sell tea all over the world but have a really low profile in the UK, which is strange!
